Last years game thread has mentions of Nurk and CJ being all-star caliber players.
Not by me. And of course I didn’t post here last year but I most certainly could see some of the posters here saying such a thing.

that's kind of backwards, no offense

CJ has never established he was anything close to a #1 option. I'd argue that if he was even a good #2 option, Portland would be a lot closer to being a contender than they are

CJ has been significantly overrated in Portland, especially in the GM's office
Those days are over now, hopefully.

I’m glad we played Boston on the second night of a back-to-back. It looks like we might be able to hold them to less than 150 points. (Just barely)

Giving up 60% from three and 59 from the field is embarrassing. That’s ok though since cj gets his value on the 1st and the 15th.

what an embarrassment. Right there with okc. Looking at loosing 10 straight easily. Thanks Neil.

Not just a few but many many times I have read posts from people in here that have said CJ needs his own team. Some even have said he would be an all star in the eastern conference.
Facts are facts. It’s been said many times.
Most of those people I would hope now know that would never happen and they should lower their expectations as for what they feel this team should get for CJ and his contract.
Terrible situation at best.

Billups needs to figure something out about this defense because nothing is translating with these guys. Because if don't he might not make it to next year.

Effort? Competitive spirit? Defense? Sticking with COVINGTON?

Coaches should not be responsible to make professional athletes to play hard. They are paid to play hard. If they can't play hard on their own, they shouldn't have been signed and shouldn't be on the roster.

The defense sucks because our roster is poorly constructed with horrible point of attack defenders and a lack of size.

I don't think Cov is great, but I don't think anyone on our bench tonight was great either, so I'm not losing sleep over his play time, but that is the only one that makes any sense to me.

exaggeration...it was only 57% from three and 56% from the field

It's crazy to think any of them (Billups, Becky, MDA, or Stotts) would've made a significant difference.
Stotts figure out one thing these players are not good defender and might be the reason why he went to the drop scheme.

They should not have to get them to play hard. But if they don’t play hard for you what does that say? I have NEVER seen them play like this. Ever.

They just got truly, truly embarrassed. Lillard gonna go ape shit in locker room.

I don't keep track of ranking the really bad games and I wouldn't know how to measure what games we've played the least hard. It was bad tonight, no doubt.

that has to get these guys fuming, if anyone fucking cares. roco looks so checked out, nurk waxes and wanes with energy. CJ is chucking more than usual, and norm is battling nagging injuries.

without ant/little, this is unwatchable.

we desperately need a personality like draymond to inspire guys, dame hasn't usually gotten in guys' faces before but i finally saw that fire from him.

let's hope it translates to harder play next game.

Rank? Anyway. They never played like this before.

Couldn’t agree more. Like Tristan Thompson said, these are grown men that get paid handsomely to come ready, play hard and compete. They should not need someone to motivate to play hard and compete.

I think there was real logic in running the conservative scheme we did. When you're really weak in one area, you don't want to put them in a position where you need to be extra good defensively.

But some people here swore up and down it was Stotts and his drop scheme. Those of us who questioned it were idiots, Stotts-apologists, blind, etc.

Covington concedes an open three to Schroeder, misses an open three, misses a point blank layup, gets the rebound, then fires a pass into the 2nd row.... amazing sequence.

I wish he just had the balls to give the crowd the finger, instead of this passive/aggresive BS. And Billups just takes it. Where is this much touted "accountability" he talked about?
