Whether I agree with someone or not, anyone who spends time on a site like this reading and posting is probably a real fan.

You can't define other people's fandom.
Nurk did... I think he makes a good point. Knicks fans have been booing the Knicks since Alan Houston played for them...are they really Knicks fans or Madson Square Garden, NYC fans?...in the end it doesn't matter. Most folks here are fans...some are habitually unhappy with the team since Olshey showed up and hired Stotts.. and love to boo the organization...I think it's the nature of sports and where the term, soccer moms stems from. If you've had kids in sports you'll know the type...screaming at the top of their lungs and looking for scapegoats....they show up at all the games but never seem to enjoy the games. You are definitely a fan...and it's fine to criticize the team...it's those who just can't cheer that I put in a different category myself. Are hecklers in a stand up comedy club fans just because they go to the same club or just going to get drunk and vent? I think perspective is valuable especially when it is balanced. I also think a lot of folks love to beat a dead horse over and over again...my perspective is that wanting to tank a season is not cheering for the team for one...everybody here defines characteristics of the franchise. Tunchi posted here a long time...ever hear him cheer?

I’m just making the case against tanking. I think you’re all real fans. I just don’t think you realize that your support for tanking is completely contrary to your fandom.

in fact, to give credit where it is due, many/most of you seem like more passionate fans than I. Which is impressive. But passion for winning isn’t everything. You are Frodo and I am Sam trying to save you from the ring of power.

Well I specifically haven't advocated tanking. In fact I think it's pretty much impossible to tank in the middle of the season when so much can still play out.

However that doesn't mean it might not be better for the team long term if they happened to miss the playoffs and get a high lottery pick. It's a silver lining to a crappy season.

But why does my fandom have to be blindly following and accepting the team? Why can i not want change? Why does a fan have to like every player?

CJ needs to be off the team. Stotts is an awful coach.

Im still a fan. Stop telling people where they are because of something you dont like.

Anthony Tolliver looks just like John Salley...I saw a picture of John Salley on the internet today and he looks like his twin

Why does cheering for the team and staff make one blindly following them? Just because you don't like the coach or starting two guard? See how that works? I happen to like them....

It didn't work out but that was such a good play design with Melo getting the ball in the horn position throwing the back door pass to a cutting Dame. The backdoor cuts have been there all year and if teams start playing them then it will give them more space when they pop out to the 3 point line.

Bazemore hitting threes...a good sign

I’m glad we are playing the Thunder. If this was against the Lakers, we would be down by 20 right about now.

I think the defense has been damned good...offense is ugly but our defense is good tonight
