They can't hit the side of a barn! They can't shoot a fish in the pond! Our defense is hot tonight!

On a night celebrating former Pacer greats, they are interviewing former great 76er George McGinnis, who is praising himself. Oh I see, he was on the Pacers when they were an ABA team.

Turner just passed an alley-oop to Leonard, who looks great tonight!

Well, our guards are running out of energy and missing. Plumlee is saving the misses with his offensive rebounds. The other team is getting into the swing of the hot shooting and doing it themselves. They are stealing it from Lillard and McCollum. Our guards get turnovers when they dribble around looking for shots, because the hot shooting has cooled off. In the 1st quarter, our guards were catch and shoot, but once they have to dribble and create, they make mistakes and turn it over. At halftime, we're up 7. Oh well, we all run out of energy after starting hot. It's only human.

It's halftime, so I have time now to phone my friends and arrange the victory party! I'll get right to it.

The halftime commentator is Popeye Jones! Same face, but different ears! Must have had surgery.

Lillard had 21, but only 2 in the 2nd quarter. Pacers had 3 players with more than McCollum, who was our #2 scorer.

At least we had a fantastic 1st quarter. When you always put all your energy into the start of game, I can't figure out why you never have energy in the 4th quarter.

Remember last season when we used to have a bad 1st quarter, then played catchup the rest of the game? So the team adjusted. Now they start great and play exhausted the rest of the way. It's those damn lazy players. No energy on defense. The Stotts offense requires great energy.

Paul George has made 5 3s. But his aren't as pretty as ours. Ours follow a curl, while his are standstill. The Stotts offense requires fantastic shooting to function.

The Pacer guys, on an oldies night, are comparing the ABA style to the Blazer hot shooting style with no defense. Similar to the ABA.

90-83 halfway through the 3rd quarter. Same 7-point margin as halftime. Pacers took the challenge and are matching our showy long shots. But ours are more daring, fancy on a curl, spectacular, while theirs are just boring. So we're better. I hope the degree of difficulty the Stotts offense creates isn't an illusion as to who will win, maximizing disappointment at the end, game after game.

As Leonard takes a patented slow-windup long miss, the Pacer colorman says that that's which Blazers we need to shoot, guys who always miss when it's needed. Leonard's reputation has seeped around the league. He's untradeable. End of 3rd quarter, 2 up.

You guys know that before starting this, I read the last 4 pages of the thread, right? You guys were arguing over who to ban. The debate was, we all hate the team tonight, but let's ban anyone who openly says so. Before reading that, I checked the score of course.

Fuck Neil. :dammit:

We are 5 up with 10 minutes left in game. Now our foul defense begins. Crabbe fouls Stuckey hard and he goes down.

Colorman notes that our bench are bad scorers, so Pacers should do well now. They take the lead.

Al Jefferson has a guaranteed layup, but we foul him as he makes it, just because that's our whole gig on defense. We have a defensive reputation to defend.

Now it becomes a foul game. This foul game is going as it always does. I don't mean poultry.

8 minutes left, McCollum puts us up 1 point. We're going to win!

He gets another 3 and a 2, up 6! This is why we're a top team! Glitzy shooting! McMillan calls time out. He won't figure out how to stop McCollum, he won't! This sells tickets.

A system based on amazing, miraculous shooting. Why hasn't any other NBA coach tried this dependable offense we have?

Leonard misses. What a lazy guy. How could he miss? It's the players' fault.

Lillard misses a 30-footer without checking who's open. No one was, because he was the first one down there. Well, he's a great shooter, so that must have been an exception. The coach wants him to dominate every 4th quarter with his BBIQ.

Lillard throws it out of bounds. His many mistakes will be cancelled by his game-winning shot, I am sure.

I forgot to say that the pacers took the lead a few minutes ago. Like all Blazer fans, I'm so entranced by my heroball hopes that I'm hypnotized into missing all the errors. I love authority, so it's the players' fault, not the coach's. Why don't they play harder?

Paul George gets a rebound through strength and then dunks it. Softness is more evidence that it's our players' fault. Too soft. Their fault, not the coach's.

A lot of and ones the pacers got tonight due to our shit fouling

We are 5 down, 31 seconds left, Leonard has been in awhile, setting those fearsome picks.

Exactly. Too often the bigs stand around and watch
