Can anyone breakout the stats? How are we with CJ vs Trent?

I know it's hard because Nurk went out too. How is our defense since Trent started?

That was outliner. CJ will never do that again. Once he comes back from injury expect same old cj iso clucking bricks 20 pts on average with zero defense

Even if CJ returns to his regular play, he still shoots better from the floor than Trent does, and averages more points, rebounds, assists and steals.

we have had so many similar blowout wins this yr end up with the other team scoring a bunch of points in a flurry the last minute.

it's affecting our point diff damnit

Just getting some blow out wins is a sign we are getting better.

Hood just isn't..... good.

He might be one of those guys that does better as a starter.

There’s something I don’t like about that logic. Goes hand in hand with “Time to trade <insert 2nd to 6th best player>!!!”

More fun facts:
The Blazers have 6 players shooting 4 or more 3s/game. Their averages are...
44.2% (Trent), 44.1% (CJ), 39.4% (Simons), 39.0% (Melo), 38.8% (Dame), 29.9% (Cov)

It's really good to see Ant making contributions.

TS% in their 3rd season:

Trent Jr, Age 22 : 0.560
McCollum, Age 24: 0.544
Lillard, Age 24 : 0.560
Curry, Age 23: 0.605
In their 3rd season:

Trent Jr - TS%: 0.560, 3PT%: 0.442, 14.3 PTS

Klay Thompson: TS%: 0.555, 3PT%: 0.417, 18.4 PTS

If Trent can maintain his 44.2% clip from 3PT, that would be higher than Klay has ever had in his entire career which is 44.0%.

Also, both had dads that played for the Blazers!

Definitely not the worst team ever. Could still be the worst blazer team I have ever seen though. The season isn’t over.

You must be forgetting the Sergei Monya Blazers. This year's team could be the worst team in the NBA the rest of the year but would be better than that mess.

Postgame Notes – February 12, 2021
Portland 129, Cleveland 110
Game No. 25, Home Game No. 13

TEAM
• Portland earned their 15th victory, becoming the ninth team in the league to reach the 15-win mark this season (sixth team to do so in the Western Conference).
• The Trail Blazers had four players score 20+ points for the second time this season (Jan. 25 vs. OKC). Portland had five such games last season, and did not do it all the five years prior to that (2014-15 through 2018-19).
• Portland was 30-of-33 (90.9%) from the FT line, while Cleveland was 26-of-37 (70.3%) from the stripe. It was the first time the Trail Blazers have made 30+ free-throws since March 7, 2019 (made 38 vs. OKC).
• Portland’s 21-point halftime lead was the largest of the season. The Trail Blazers improved to 7-0 in games where they have secured a double-digit halftime lead.
• The Trail Blazers reserves combined for a season-high 54 points. It was the first time the Portland bench topped 50 points this season.

PLAYER
• Gary Trent Jr. led Portland with 26 points (8-12 FG, 4-6 3-PT, 6-6 FT), three rebounds and two assists in 36 minutes. It was his sixth consecutive game in double figures, the longest streak of his career.
• Carmelo Anthony scored 23 points (7-13 FG, 3-7 3-PT, 6-8 FT) to go with two rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 20 minutes. Anthony has scored 70 total points in his last three games, marking his highest-scoring three-game stretch as a Trail Blazer.
• Damian Lillard had 20 points (7-16 FG, 6-6 FT), three rebounds, nine assists and one steal in 30 minutes. It was his fifth consecutive game with 20+ points.
• Enes Kanter recorded his 14th double-double of the season, finishing with 21 points (9-11 FG, 3-3 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist and one block. It was his third game with 20+ points this season. Seven of his rebounds came on the offensive glass.
• Anfernee Simons recorded 16 points (4-10 FG, 4-9 3-PT, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 30 minutes off the bench. Simons has scored 10+ points in five consecutive games, tying the longest streak of his career (Nov. 2 - Nov. 10, 2019).
• Harry Giles had six points (2-5 FG, 2-2 FT), a season-high 10 rebounds, two assists and one block in 20 minutes.
• Collin Sexton led the Cavaliers with 25 points (8-16 FG, 1-2 3-PT, 8-9 FT), three rebounds, five assists and two steals. It was his 10th game with 25+ this season
• Jarrett Allen added 22 points (7-12 FG, 8-15 FT), six rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks in 24 minutes off the bench. He was one off a career-high in scoring (24, Nov. 17, 2018 vs. LAC).

I no Stotts is Stotts and CJ makes a ridiculous (for his level of talent) 30M but if when CJ and Nurk come back the rotation is: Dame, Gary, DJJ, RoCo, Nurk, Enes, CJ,
melo and Hoodie. I think we would be the best we can be without a trade. Dame and CJ are just not the answer for our back court.

Trade Dame while his value is high?

Trade Dame while his value is high?
I'm a Dame fan but if I'm the actual GM, a businessman I do it in a heartbeat for Giannis or AD. As for CJ he's not Dame and there are a lot of players that could complement Dame better.

7 game road trip, I will be happy with 4-3

it's two 3 game trips with a home game in between, not a 7 game road trip. That's why they said 7 different cities.
