In regards to tonight's game, if we lose, then that shows the Blazers have quite on Stotts. And if Olshey was smart, he'd fire Stotts immediately after the game.

Technically, I don't think Olshey can fire Stotts. I believe only the owner can. Oshey can recommend it, but I'm not sure he wants to go to Jody Allen (or whoever is advising her), tell her the team is underperforming and recommend she start firing people. He could be setting himself up to be next out the door. Probably in his best interest to not draw any attention to the fact the roster he has assembled is underperforming.

We should win, we better win, we need this win, but I wouldn't call PHO dead, just bad. Keep in mind they have wins over DAL (by 21), MEM, SAS (by 20) and MIL. So, they have shown they are capable of beating some pretty good teams on "any given night". Let's hope tonight is not one of those nights.

I don't know man, i can't Imagine they will loose to the Suns but you Never know about this Team. But Suns are Trash, they are the only Team in the West that doesn't tank, a loss would be Totally embarrassing.

I doubt MIL fans imagined they would lose to PHO either, but they did. It happens. It shouldn't but it does. Not making excuses, just pointing out anything is possible.

Because the team that loses the most has a 100% chance of getting him....!
I believe it’s only 25% but it’s 65ish% that the worst record gets a top 3 pick and R.J. or Reddish would look real good here.

No I’m not suggesting anyone tank.

Nope not true, there are new lottery rules this year.

I’ve noticed you have a really hard time debating with people without taking things personal and lashing out or taking a personal jab at someone but thanks for your opinion anyway.
Oh my god, your posts are moronic. You took a personal jab at Bones about something that isn't going to happen because that player isn't playing. Then you saw my post that Booker wasn't playing and tried to play it off as a joke and not serious. So instead of just owning up to it you have to be a hypocrite too?

This had nothing to do with a debate.

Ask you do is talk shit about the team.

That’s even better, if we made a trade with a bottom 3 team we would have even odds at number 1. What are the odds of the bottom 3 getting a top 3 pick?

Huh, what are you talking about, there are worse odds for the worst team.

Here are the current projected draft lottery odds:

If we decided to tank today, we'd need to tank the shit out of things just to have a 0.6% chance of a top 3 pick. Even a top 8 pick is a long shot, based on where we are today. It's achievable, but would also require a concentrated tanking effort.

Correction: we'd need to tank the shit out of things for a 0.9% chance of a top 3 pick (0.6% for the 3rd pick + 0.3% for the 2nd pick + 0.0% for the 1st pick).

To clarify, yes the 3 worst teams have the same odds but overall their odds aren't as good as they were last year and teams further down have a greater chance.

Bottom 3 all have same odds at number 1 and top 3, I see that as better, it creates more opportunities for a team like pdx(if they made a deadline trade with one of the bottom dwellers) at potentially getting the number 1 pick but really having a 40% chance at a top 3 pick doesn’t sound that bad.

That is so depressing, and not the answer I wanted to hear, lol.

But they could also now slip to pick 5, 6, or 7. In fact there is a greater percentage chance of losing position than staying in the top 3.

I don't know where you got this from but this is incorrect. The top 3 teams all have a 14% chance at #1.

Reality sucks sometimes. Put yourself in Neil's shoes. Jody Allen probably pays zero attention to how the team is playing and probably gives exactly zero shits about it. Are you going to call her up and say, "Hey Jody, the team is playing like shit and really underachieving. I think we should fire Terry."

Her first question would probably be, "Who is this?" Her second question would probably be, "Who is Terry?" Her third question would then be, "What's Bert Kolde's number?"

At that point, you're fucked. Best to let sleeping dogs lie.

I'm not a proponent of tanking but watching the Blazers lately has made me think of buying vodka by the tank. If Portland is down by 10, again, after the 1st Q tonight, I'll be deep-diving into that tank
