I didn't see a problem with the defense. I saw a problem on the boards.
Giving up offensive boards and second chance points is part of it, but this team's PPP defense is atrocious. It's multiple things.

i dont usually take moral victories, and there is still a shitload of work to be done, but considering the refs and increased push on D from some of the squad, im actually more positive about the game vs. it just being a loss.

although in saying that, it took a near career night from Plumlee to get it there.

also shoutout to Stotts for only playing Meyers 3mins and therefore giving us a chance to win.

pity about the calls.

I've had the same hunch for the last 8 games like these that has happened. I think I'm gonna stop trusting my hunches.

5th game in 7 nights against a team that beat us by 50 last time on a road trip across three time zones. And we were a few calls/baskets away from winning? I'll take it.

First hunch I've had this season, in a positive way anyway.

Naw I'm not a homer

Cj was a fucking dumb fucking mo mo right there
You're the exact opposite which is worse. Everyone would rather be around someone deliriously happy and positive then suffocating-ly negatave.

I'm still having trouble figuring this team out. The effort is so inconsistent night to night. If they played this hard every night, they'd still be below average on defense because of personnel issues, but they'd probably have 3 or 4 games flipped into the win column.

Hopefully they show up energized tomorrow.

Seriously, Denny, he can't get more blatant with the trolling.
That's not enough to get rid of him apparently. I just wonder how many people have to complain to get him gone.

You know what this team does a lot? They start dogging in on defense when their offense isn't clicking. Very common with young teams, but often Dame or CJ miss a shot or think they get fouled, and just completely give up on the ensuring defensive possession. 4-5 point swings every time and complete momentum killers.

I could stomach these close road losses a lot easier if the score was 97 to 98. This team is D'Antoni bad.
You mean when D'Antoni got the best record in the league and made it to the WCF? We're that bad?

Crazy that if the playoffs were to start tomorrow we'd still be in. And in the playoffs defense becomes even more important, and that's our strength. 56 games to go, we got this.

Anyone notice how great we were when Aminu was out there? More Aminu will be more wins

I think, despite losing, tonight may have been the best they've played this year from top to bottom. At least from the games I've watched. Quite a few encouraging take aways.
