How much have the Blazers exceeded your expectations since the CJ & Nurk (and other) injuries?

Did you know OKC didn't make a field goal at all in the final 5 minutes of the game?

Some wonderful clutch D by the Blazers to end the game, after OKC was celebrating like they won a championship.

Wow. I wouldn't have guessed that at all.

I would say the large majority of games see multiple timeouts in the last 2 minutes. OKC had time to call more than one in the last 4 minutes.

Great point. But you forgot that during Dame Time, the special laws of relativity applies.

For opponents, time seems to speed up. So OKC was up 5 points, and then within a blink of an eye, Dame had already converted 4 threes and the Blazers suddenly had the game wrapped up like a Christmas present.

Absolutely. This was just weird in that they didn't know what hit them or have time to react.

We were dead. We weren't making anything. We were settling for bad shots. We were in foul trouble, on the road.

If you're Vigneault, do you call a time out when we make one or two shots when they'd swung the game by 29 points in about a quarter and potentially kill their momentum? Maybe. But once we hit that third 3 it was kind of over.

Just took their souls.

Maybe Vigneault is a data guy and therefore doesn't buy-in to the timeout theory?

6 players in double figures and Dame with a double double. Kanter with 20 boards. Covington with 6 blocks and 5 assist. 38 points off the bench and 26 assist. Overall I thought we play well there's few cold spots but again they figure how to win the game.

Covington also with 9 rebounds. That's the kind of performance I was hoping for when we acquired him. Just filling up the boxscore and playing solid defense.

He's been playing better of late for sure; it's great to see.

I'm calling the Thunder coach Vignault. It's Daignault.

Name like that belongs in the NHL anyway ... grumble.

Some thoughts...

I wonder how bad CJ is gonna fuck up this chemistry thing we got going.

I’m more excited for the future of Nas than Simons or Trent.

Is Nurk really better than Kanter for THIS team?

I wonder behind closed doors who Neil wants to see succeed more out of CJ, Trent, Simons. Since he drafted all of them will it make it easier for him to trade CJ to play the other two?

Next game... can someone tell me when was the last time we won at New Orleans including playoffs?

so anyway, we spent 4 days without power...the West Salem Hills is a disaster area, and not because of me by the way. I catch the 2nd half of this game and watch Dame go 1-10 on three's and think that he just doesn't have it tonight....than that happened

by the way, are there any OKC players that were there when Dame made that shot a couple of years ago?

Diallo is the only one.

You knew the Blazers ended the game on an incredible 18-2 run.

But did you know that Dame scored or assisted on all 18 of those points?

Yeah my brain rewind still functions. Four 3’s and assists to GT and RoCo.

Yes. Four 3’s on his own, assisted on two 3’s.

Also had a couple boards in that time span.
