Who would take him? The team would have to have enough cap room to sign him as if he were somebody else's free agent and they'd have to be sure he'd stay.

They'd also have to be sure he would not revert to the knuckleheaded ways that had him go through the D-League.

(That said, I'd swap him for Leonard in a heartbeat.)

Have to have a go at Whiteside at least. There's nothing in this season's FA's of interest so all or nothing on him I'd have thought. Mind you so will any other team with cap space and needing a center (read: all)

This team reminds me of the Blazers during Dame's rookie year. Tons of undeveloped talent/potential. Inconsistent, play teams tough every night, a lot of close losses down the stretch, flashes of brilliance, guys figuring out their roles, but a lot of young guys learning.

With a decent lotto pick and some small tweaks coupled with guys being another year developed, we could see that same team growth as we did from Dame's rookie year to his second year (we all know Dame's second season).

We were 20-15 in Dame's rookie season before collapsing because Pavlovic and Nolan Smith were our bench. We ended up losing our last 13 games and that is how we got CJ. By the way, look at ML's game log at the end of that season. He had some monster games stats wise. 3 years later, he looks worse.
