We'll agree to disagree Al. A lot of guys had bad seasons last season. Blame Torts, maybe don't blame Torts, who knows. What I do know is Richards had two good seasons here out of 3. We won 6 playoff rounds with him. Made an SCF with him as defacto captain. Good for him. Now he goes. No shame there.

You said AV needs to realize you need size. He's not the GM. He coaches the roster he has to deal with. Also, in regards to size it's not AV's fault that Nash plays like a pussy.

He was brought in here to be the man..to take gabby to another level to be that number 1 center..I wont even talk about his salary. He was ok..he was not the reason for the ecf or scf runs

Nope, he was not the sole reason or the main reason, but he was solid two of three seasons. It is time to go, but I say thanks for the time Brad. We had some good runs in your time here.
 
Al, you are wrong about Richards. He has had a lot of memorable moments here. Thanks Brad, see ya. We need the cap relief.

Invisible since the Flyer series really. I think he was a + 6 or + 7 after the Philly series, now he is E or + 1. Enough said.
 
I would not resign Staal to be honest. See if you can get something of a value next season.

He is a 4th line center...even at half the salary he needs to go. This series shows it

Richards is clearly getting bought out. It's just a smart business move. That's really all that matters.

I know Girardi makes some mistakes out there but the point is he's always out there. I'll take that over a guy who frankly has been a ghost for the last 15 games.

So you don't think that the coach has anything to do with the players we sign??? AV likes speed, not size. He wants his roster to be faster than his opponents. He always tends to overlook size.

I hear you. Still one more loss before you can call them dead this year. I just know this roster needs improvement to get over the top.

Do you think 6'4" 230lb guys grow on trees? As for AV this is his first year and he inherited this roster. Kreider and Nash aren't small they have just played like it lately.
 
They need to continue to build the team as a hybrid of Chicago/LA, they have goaltending like LA and quickness like Chicago but need to get bigger and better up front, and a real pp threat.
 
This team needs a real number one center because Stepan has had long enough playing pretend.

You didn't read what I wrote initially at all. You simply skimmed it. I said that Sather AND AV hopefully will see the needs of this team. This team needs size. And no, those guys don't grow on trees, but we can trade for them.

Mess, girardi has been a human turnover all season and when richards isn't killing us on the pp point girardi is. Staal wasn't on ice for any kings goal and he doesn't get to play with Mcdonagh. I don't think defensively any of our d-men have stood out but to me all year girardi has always been in the wrong place at the right time.

They need Kreider and Nash going to net and scoring. I've heard enough of the things like hey look at what else Nash is doing. You can't win when your top players are scoring voids.
 
AV non answer on why nash not on pp especially with nash showing more than what is being put out on there
