Exactly. They refuse to get to the dirty areas and really give Holtby no chance to see the puck. We're getting KILLED in the faceoff circle tonight.Washington is playing it perfectly by clogging the middle. They realize nobody on the Rangers is willing to go to the net hard. All Holtby needs to do it make the initial save. The Rangers can have 100 shots but if they're low percentage and easy saves what's the point?
I hate how other teams get these lucky goals and we never seem to. Has something to do with the fact that they'll go to the dirty areas and look to get them whereas, if we can't get a pretty goal we pass it back to the pointman who does nothing with it.Lack of scoring is very frustrating. I do think they are playing well. Caps not getting a lot of chances. We have had more chances in this game no doubt. One fluke goal and we cannot score.
It's ridiculous that they have no offense... The Blackhawks and Ducks would steamroll this team in a series
Neither of those teams would "steamroll" us. Washington is a great team that plays a physical game. Hawks and Ducks are similar to us in that they play a more open style. We have struggled all year with physical teams. It's ridiculous that they have no offense... The Blackhawks and Ducks would steamroll this team in a series
Are you kidding the kid is all over the iceHayes plays too slow
That actually proves the point. We're not a physical team so we're not playing our game. The Rangers have outhit the caps in every game. I don't want to hear about that physical stuff. The Rangers are just as physical
