Is this Bob Knight??? LolJoey Wright is an entertaining coach. He once lost his shit at a ref, the ref somehow didn't give him a tech, so Joey told the ref to give him a tech, and he got tossed.![]()
It was totally calculated. Joey repeatedly told the ref to "do your job", and when he didn't, Joey told the ref to "give me tech", when he was already on one tech. So he got ejected. Is this Bob Knight??? Lol
Sounds like an interesting coach I dont know enough about him x’s and o’s wise to know if he could coach in the NBA, but he sounds a bit like Thibs personality wise.It was totally calculated. The team was losing, and Joey's lead guard (Nathan Sobey) was under-performing, and not happy with Joey.
Joey was trying to get ejected to throw the responsibility of leadership onto Sobey. It sort of worked. Sobey played a good second half, but the team didn't win.
Very basic X's and O's (that's always been the knock on him), run and gun offence (almost SSOL), likes switching zone defence, and forcing contested threes; but always running no matter what. Great regular season philosophies, never works in the playoffs. His players would run through a brick wall for him. Could not make it in the NBA.Sounds like an interesting coach I dont know enough about him x’s and o’s wise to know if he could coach in the NBA, but he sounds a bit like Thibs personality wise.
Did not work. Lost to a team two places below them, in a contest for the last playoff place.Sorry to interject with Australian basketball (yet again), but I wonder if some of you would like Stotts to react like this after certain losses?
If you can't sleep after the Trail Blazer's game, tune in, and see the result of this coach's reaction to a loss (to the bottom placed team), as the Adelaide 36ers take on the Cairns Taipans.

Neil has to trade Simons, he's so trash
Exactly. Neil is one of the best GMs in the league, if not the best. He's pulled off so many amazing trades. Wade Baldwin and Stauskas for Hood? Mason Plumlee for Nurkic and the pick that got us Collins? Like you said, Biggie for Skal. Meyers Fucking Leonard for Hassan Whiteside? Turner for Bazemore? This guy is genius. Watch him flip Tolliver for Al Horford. Can’t believe we got Skal straight up for Biggie. Nice one Neil
9 more FT attempts. The refs cost Minny this oneFulltime

Nah more than a Box score CJ played a very good game. Dame missed a few free throws but when he was on the court there was no question who the better team was.
If they both can check there ego for the team it could work for the remainder of the year. But before anybody get carried away we still need better back point due Simons and Trent right now still not there as players. Not saying they never will get there because both are still young but the game hasn't slow down enough for both them yet.Damn Hassan is just playing better and better for us every game. Once Nurk comes back we have a real rich man's problem on our hands
I do understand that feel. Most of that game the Blazers seemed like they were in control. They maybe could have pushed harder and i wanted some separation. But this was second of B2B and i think they were just trying to get that win. Making sure no more injuries happen. He was great, I just mean he could have lifted his game if it was needed; but it wasn't.
I'm envious about the seats.
Off the ball on defense CJ is way better than people give him credit for. Then CJ has a certain communication with the crowd the rest of the team doesn't have. When CJ wants crowd interaction he gets it! He just plays the game smart. Knows how to effect a game in more ways than just making a basket.Yeah, I felt CJ played good I was surprised to see that is FG% was so bad. I liked most of the shot he took which is really the one thing I want to see out of him

48 minutes of Nurkic and Whiteside is suffocating. There’s our advantage over other teams. Use Bazemores contract to grab an upgrade on the wing.
You think he's the best? Ahahaha. Ahaha. Hah.Exactly. Neil is one of the best GMs in the league, if not the best. He's pulled off so many amazing trades. Wade Baldwin and Stauskas for Hood? He also traded Barton and the pick that became Malik Beasley for 30 games of Arron Afflalo.Exactly. Neil is one of the best GMs in the league, if not the best. He's pulled off so many amazing trades. Bones i got to disagree with about every one of those takes right up to Pat Con and Layman. He also traded Barton and the pick that became Malik Beasley for 30 games of Arron Afflalo.
He also refused to trade Aldrisge then lost him for nothing.
He also traded Nicolas Batum for Vonleh and Henderson.
He also gave away Pat Connaughton and Jake Layman for nothing.
He also gave $230M in contracts in ONE summer to Evan Turner, Moe Harkless, Meyers Leonard, and Allen Crabbe.
What a genius.
The only team in there that didn't get lucky and draft a league MVP at #15 and has won a Chip is Toronto. Got to say that might have been lucky also had Durant and Klay been playing. The List of things Olshey has done well is just as long. Not saying he is the best GM in the league by any stretch but he has not been bad either.Miami:
Drafted Bam Adebayo at 13
Drafted Tyler Herro at 13
Picked up Undrafted Rookies Duncan Robinson and Kendrick Nunn
Got Derrick Jones Jr. for nothing
Signed Jimmy Butler
Bucks:
Drafted Giannis at 15
Got Middleton for nothing
Traded a late 1st for Bledsoe
Got Connaughton for nothing
Boston:
Traded a washed up Pierce and Garnett for Brown, Tatum
Signed Hayward, Kemba
Drafted Williams
Nuggets:
Drafted Jokic, Morris in the 2nd round
Traded Afflalo for Barton and a 1st
Drafted Beasley and Harris in the late 1st
Utah:
Drafted Mitchell 13th, Gobert 27th
Found Joe Ingles
Found Royce O'Neale
Signed Bogdanovic and traded for Conley
Toronto:
Drafted Siakam 27th
Traded Derozan and Poeltl for a championship (Kawhi)
Brought in Lowry for cheap
Drafted Anunoby 23rd
Traded minimal value for Ibaka and Gasol
Fired Casey for Nurse
Brooklyn:
Traded Brook Lopez and a late 1st for Russell
Drafted Levert and Allen in the 20s
Picked up Joe Harris and Spencer Dinwiddie for nothing
Signed Kyrie and KD
Pacers:
Traded a disgruntled star with low value for Oladipo, Sabonis
Traded a late 1st for Brogdon
Traded cap space for T.J. Warren AND an early 2nd.
Thats just off the top of my mind.
Man I can’t stand Simons. He hurts us so much. I wonder if his trade stock is even a little decent right now
What great basketball posts we have here. Trade a struggling young player when his value is at it's lowest point. That's how you maximize trade value!Neil has to trade Simons, he's so trash

Give the kid another 1000 minutes and then scrub everything you have ever thought about him clean and watch him play. Don't bring any preconceived notions or expectations. I'm betting at that point your opinion would change drastically.Well he’s not good
