IDK personally I think Aminu covered up a lot of the defensive mistakes Stotts' system has.
A decent portion of last year I was complaining about Aminu and his lack of being in the right spot and defensive lapses.
I never really cared about his offensive production because I could see how productive he was on the other end.
But with that gone.... I just don't think Stotts and co really knows how to coach defense.
This zone thing to me is proof of that as either the players are usually out of position. Or he doesn't know how to put them in position in the zone properly.
With the history Stotts has. I go more with him being at fault than the players.

I think they (and me too) were hoping Zach could do similar things to Aminu and I think he's a better shot blocker (not as good on the perimeter though).

Watching the game with someone who hasn't seen much of the Blazers this year and the comments are - "Wow these announcer are bad, what are they talking about" and, "This is liking watching a AAU game, do they have any plays?"

I have to agree on both counts. This team (including the coaching) just doesn't get it. This is bad, bad basketball. Both sides of the floor.

Yup. They're 7-23 and we're down 7 to them at home. This loss would kill all momentum before a harder stretch too. We came out unfocused and were falling asleep defensively. Doesn't help that we've missed shots but this defense is inexcusable from an NBA team.

Again? He's missed 3-point shots. That's the only thing he's done poorly. That happens. He's shooting 5 for 9 from inside the arc and has had 7 assists and has made some really nice passes. He's also had to create a ton of offense off the dribble from a standstill, against a really good defender and overall solid defensive team.
