Should the Blazers pursue the recently-waived Jeff Green?

If y'all watched the Mailbag I dropped earlier today, that drive by Simons is EXACTLY what I was talking about. Defense came up on him, so he attacked, didn't shy away from contact, and finished towards the backboard. If he can start doing that more, he'll finish better. And then if you add him shooting better and getting out of that slump he's in, then you'll have a great 6th man scorer.

I believe there starting 5 right now should be WS, Skal, Little, CJ and Dame. Much better rebounding and defense. Let Melo and Baze help out the bench.
No where near enough space. You can sub out one of Melo or Bazemore for Skal or Little, but not both.

Technically when Dame was out a few years ago they started Shabazz, so I guess they werent missing a starter.

yeah, and that's technically bullshit....I'm saying Whiteside has been great so far and Portland could not realistically have expected much more from Nurkic. And, the Blazers were 9-13 before Hood was injured so he was not making much of a difference in the winning rate

While not on the "Fire Stotts" train, I do think sometimes offensive philosophy has passed him by.

Watching whoever dribble the ball up and shoot is like 1980s offense. Even the teams with stars like the Clippers and Lakers are so much more unselfish with the basketball than are the Blazers. It's frustrating because we've seen quarters where we do share the basketball and when we do we look like a very good team (well, minus all the offensive rebounds we allow).

Don't you think Olshey and Stotts promised Melo he'd start before he signed with us? I agree with your lineup, but it probably isn't going to happen.
I wouldnt be surprised if they promised Melo he could start, but he shouldnt be, at least start Nas, he’s gonna make a ton of mistakes but so does bazemore, and Nas rebounds better.

I would submit changing up the bench and the worst SF/PF combination in the league isn't exactly fundemental change.
The FOUNDATIONAL, not fundamental, change was to replace Mo Harkless and Aminu with Rodney Hood and new starter Zach Collins. The idea is that we'd still have defense but we'd have players who could shoot better than Mo and Aminu. Plus, we though Zach was ready for a leap. Those two players are injured. So the whole plan was wrecked. As a reaction, he added Melo and applied for the injury exception. Let's see who he uses it for. And while we get that new guy and then Collins healthy, let's stay in the Top 8. That is what we are doing.

The timeout entertainment was a crowd member playing family feud with a pre-recorded player. One of the questions was "name somewhere you seen men crying", my answer was: anywhere the Blazers are playing this season.

If Clarkson went to Portland, he's be 1-7 instead of 3-6 because of the way our offense works, and Stotts would be blaming it on him not being able to know our complicated plays, and Blazer fans would be saying he needs time to fit in. Am I wrong?

Lol dear lord man take a joke. I guess I could've used green font.

There's no way to know, but it's a nice story and very consistent.

oh stop he ain’t all that. At best his ceiling is jordan clarkson

Harlan is trying way to hard to sell a scrub like Clarkson. Good lord.

Hanging around. Jazz are starting to miss. Need to take better shots than that last Trent one though.

Glad we didn't give up on Simons who is not only scoring but leading us in rebounds.
