This is a trap game, I know @THE HCP would probably say that no game is a trap game for a team with our roster and record but this is one. Just looking at the players available for the Nets our team could take a victory in this game for granted. There are going to be a lot of guys who are getting a shot at playing in the NBA and want to make a name for themselves or just get themselves some guaranteed NBA money in the future. Our guys could overlook them. Obviously Patty and Blake Griffin are playing and everyone on this team knows that both have the potential to be dangerous but if our team with its problematic defense doesn't take every one of these players seriously, one of them could go off and we could be on the wrong end of this one.

This is a chance to get a win against a team that we likely would have lost against had it not been for COVID, so we better not fuck it up and look past them because COVID has eleven of their players out leaving only two of their rotation guys available to play. Gotta have this win! Go Blazers!!!

Without Defense, teams don't succeed. The Blazers are the epitome of lack luster defensive effort. The Pelicans game really proved that.

Yeah I'm the lone LaMarcus Aldridge vote because this team could use someone over 6-1. I love Patty Mills as much as anyone but lets be honest. They need another big man.

Guess some bumps and bruises get healed with 5 full days off and Christmas in the middle.

Billups was supposed to fix that no?
His problem is that they are not motivated to earn a fourth quarter win. That is the coach's responsibility. It looked to me like They Gave Up. If I compared the Blazers to my beloved Ravens, the football team wants the win but had been cursed by injuries. The Ravens lost the last three games by a total of 4 points.

NBA postpones Thursday's Nets-Blazers game (msn.com)
"This week’s game between the Nets and Trail Blazers, scheduled to be played on Thursday in Portland, has been postponed, the NBA announced Wednesday in a press release. According to the league, Brooklyn doesn’t have the required minimum of eight players available.
No Game because lack of bodies. Maybe we could do that and blame it on no defenders.

Someone might wanna change the title to reflect the postponement

Not playing a game against a team that's covid ground zero is fine with me....stay healthy Blazers!

The Nets will not beat us on Thursday... though this might've been the best time to play them.
