Patience is a tough thing. I do think Neil is contemplating moves to help further strengthen the team. The Ownership sitch could end up being a problem though.

Patience is a good thing to a point. You don't want to constantly be immediately overreacting. But there comes a time when changes must be made because expecting a different result from the same thing is INSANITY!

Neil, are you asleep at the wheel? This borders on negligence.

Borders?

Welp. The Jazz effectively own the Blazers this season. That’s twice now that this team has embarrassed themselves against Utah. Just blow this thing up already and start the Philly process

Bing:::
"Damian Lillard score 20 points to lead Portland. Evan Turner added 12 points off the bench. The Blazers (19-15) lost to Utah for the second time in five days after trailing nearly the entire second half by a double digit margin.
''They're a really good defensive team,'' Lillard said. ''They make you work on the offensive end. You got to compete on the offensive end.''

It'd be nice if the Blazers, on the whole, actually did compete on the offensive end. Amazing to me how much standing around we see.

After a difficult opening schedule, we are 19-15 and 6th in the West. Only 3.5 games out of first! So yes, we’re a playoff team.

In a league where over half the teams make the play-offs, that's a rather small boast.

There is a bunch of movement/handoffs before the inevitable Iso, jab-step, step back jumper...smh. So they run around 25' from the basket before they stand around. Is that really an offense?

The worst part is that this isn't only the Blazers doing it. It's just horrible basketball in general. About 2/3 of the league does this? I'm certain this is exactly what Pop is talking about.

Remember the Mo Cheeks era?

Play #1: Damon dribbles the shot clock to under 5 and then vomits up a bad trey.
Play#2: Damon and another guard play catch 30' from the hoop till the shot clock is under 5, then one of them vomits up a bad shot.
Play#3: Damon dribbles the clock down to under 5, then makes a flaming bag pass to a big man. Cheeks stares down the big man for not turning Damon's shit into gold.

Is the current offense any more sophisticated or less selfish?

Besides the fact that we laid a fucking egg on national TV, Why THE FUCK didn't we have Christmas uniforms????

I JUST saw a red version of our new Rip City jerseys and we don't wear red vs green on Christmas?

Travesty.

Supposedly, the red v green thing is tough for colorblind people.

Were worse than pretty much everyone else except for a couple bottom feeders (Cleveland and New York).

Doomsday fans are not based in reality though that’s what they convince themselves. As Strenuus demonstrated, if we lose, it’s horrible but if we win, it’s meh. People don’t celebrate the wins as much as they bemoan the losses. And we have more wins than losses!!!

To be absolutetly honest, you have it wrong. If we lose its meh, if we lose it's meh. It's literally the worst place to be, apathy. People get bored without change. Solid change. I'll still watch the games, but I'm not nearly cheering as much as I did last month.

Because, macro wise, we haven't changed. When we get pressured, we go back to iso-ball. Any time we get challenged, iso-ball. We're predictable.

It sucks. I want the team to do better... but we've proven over the last 3-4 years we're a regular season team.. not a playoff team. As a person, why get excited if you know the team has proven they can't get it done unless other teams get hurt or we get bailed out by a big shot? .9 is still a very fond memory, but realistically, we've been awful since then except for one playoff series... then to get smoked again (by a team you said sucks, the warriors).

After a while, you just become numb to it, and start focusing on other aspects of life for the joy.

Most championship teams go to an iso in a tight playoff game. Jordan, LeBron, Durant, Kobe, Kyrie, Microwave, etc. In a tight game, you have to be able to give a ball to someone who can finish the game off. We're lucky to have two.

Kerr gets leeway because, ya know, he's won 3 championships as a head coach.
3 championships? He got lucky against injured teams. Look at Curry with a chance to tie Game 7 in 2016, he actually got shut down by Kevin Love and he's never won Finals MVP. Durant has covered for a lot of their woes but even with Durant, the Warriors would've lost to Rockets last year if Chris Paul didn't get hurt. We would've beaten Warriors in 2017 if Nurkic hadn't been out due to injury.
