They had 9 players dressed and ready to play. Who exactly was he gonna play that was better?Perhaps you forgot who are coach was?![]()
How can anyone say Melo's not as good as Saric, though? That's the assertion.
Saric had 2 points, 2 rebounds, 0 assists in 16 minutes, was 1-for-5 shooting and was a minus-12 on a team that won by six last night. Melo's recent play has been disheartening, but he's still better than Saric and by a considerable margin. The Blazers' roster is better than the Suns and by a considerable margin. The Blazers are losing to teams they are better than, often much better than.

Again you won’t get me to disagree with ya. At this point if I’m Stotts I start Little and cut back on both Lillard and Cj. Give the lions share of the shots to 1M and Trent.Better than the 4-16 clankfest he put up? Who knows....but I'd like to see what Little could do with even half that amount of attempts. Certainly the defense would be better.
Several reasons why Little should be starting instead of Melo.Again you won’t get me to disagree with ya. At this point if I’m Stotts I start Little and cut back on both Lillard and Cj. Give the lions share of the shots to 1M and Trent.
The biggest is probably because he is going to be a huge part of this team if he becomes what they envision him becoming.Several reasons why Little should be starting instead of Melo.
Really? One game? Look at their stats for the season. Saric's shooting is respectable and Melo's is shit.
Saric is 25, he's bigger than Melo, he shoots a better FG % and FT %, and he rebounds better. There is no question he is a better player at this particular time.
Firstly- Oh, heck yeah! "Ignore" gets rid of the negative posts, made by just a few of our asses that are floating around here; so the game threads aren't to bad to follow. Actually, they are enjoyable for me now.First off. You actually put people on "Ignore"?
Secondly. You actually take people back off "Ignore"?
I wonder how to put people on ignore? I learned once i think but it didn't take.
As I addressed in another response, the numbers are nearly identical, Saric's always been average at best, his age doesn't matter because he's had time to show what he can do and his number remain constant, his size is meaningless because he doesn't use that to be a better player ... and then Carmelo outplayed him head-to-head last night even playing a poor game.

While I like to see Little getting minutes, I don’t think he should be starting. He generally does very little (no pun intended) with his time from a point/rebound or any other stat-line perspective. Carmelo may have deficiencies but at least teams have to respect him / guard him - Little not so much.
I think he will get better but allow him some time to learn & grow.

Dame is setting a career high in assists per game.Dear Dame,
Teams that play together beat those with superior players that play more as individuals.
Best wishes
Jack Ramsay
Can't argue against that philosophy either. Really this season is't worth making any real statement against either way. Just play the guy enough to make a difference in his season i guess. While I like to see Little getting minutes, I don’t think he should be starting. I don’t think anyone is complaining about Dame. It’s about how we play as a team. Blazers are dead last in assists in entire NBA 2 of last 3 seasons. In fact, in last 3 seasons, only twice had a team averaged under 20 assists, and both occurrences were the Blazers.Dame is setting a career high in assists per game.
And it's 100% Terry Stotts offense.I don’t think anyone is complaining about Dame. It’s about how we play as a team. Blazers are dead last in assists in entire NBA 2 of last 3 seasons. that’s just like your opinion.
Stats across the board show Hood to be a better player than TrentJR.
Your opinion is because of opportunity.
Stats show otherwise.
Hood > TrentJR and it's not close.
Just like Curry > Simons.
But with my 'unpopular opinion' and If i type it I'm going to get people going at me like I did when I didn't buy into the Simons hype coming into this year.
And it's 100% Terry Stotts offense.
It's almost like he feels the need to because our sets and offense doesn't get much going...It wasn't Terry Stotts jacking up ill advised contested 3 point shots in the second half and often times with no passes and less than 10 seconds into the shot clock. As awesome as Lillard was in the first half, he was almost just as bad in the second half as he sets the tone and the tone he set was trying to do it himself.
It's almost like he feels the need to because our sets and offense doesn't get much going...
Unfortunately CJ’s salary limits what Blazers can do with the rest of roster. I understand we aren’t the only team that hasn’t won a ring lately, but as a fan I want to see the organization always making an effort to get to next level. I feel like we have given, Dame/CJ/Stotts combo enough years... and this just feels stale at this point. I don’t think it’s unfair to want to see what Dame could do with a different #2 option by his side and under a different coach while he still has some prime years left.
