Being 100% honest, do you see Lillard leading our team to an NBA Championship someday?

How do you feel about Dame? I think he's slightly overrated right now whose starting to become more and more of a chucker. I have this argument on this site all the time, but what makes me love Lillard at the same time so much is his leadership, dedication and just plain loyalty he shows to this city and franchise.

But really he hasn't been quite efficient for my liking. I think CJ should be our main scorer since hes much better in the mid range and is plain more efficient than Dame. I think Dame should cut his attempts a little more and pick his spots better. Let CJ do the shooting since hes better at it and that way Dame can be more of an exclusive play maker while at the same time he can get better shots off..

Dame is shooting 41% from the field and 36% from 3. Draymond Green for example is shooting 41% from 3 this season. Al Fariq Aminu is shooting better from 3 than Dame is. Dame is shooting the exact same % as Nick Young (tied at 60th in the league). All of this is despite being 2nd in the league in 3pt attempts per game (6th in overall attempts despite having only played 31 games).

He is 101st in the league in FG%, despite the fact that he is shooting the most shots per game of anyone in the league.

Yes he is averaging almost 7 assists per game, but he is 50th in the league in AST/TO ratio, basically right with Mario Chalmers, Joe Johnson, and Evan Turner). Yes, Iso Joe has essentially the same AST/TO ratio as Damian.

Now FOR THE 100th TIME don’t get me wrong, I love Damian. But he is only having a good season in the sense that he is absolutely dominating the ball when he is on the court. I know, we need him to take those shots, we don’t have anyone else to set up the offense, etc. The point remains, this is not his best season despite what the numbers would lead you to believe. He is basically just an inefficient chucker right now, as much as it pains me to say it..

Nice post, and I fully agree. Whilst I love Dames intangibles, he has been woefully inefficient this season - a downward trend that has continued since last season.

I like Dame A LOT, but I feel the team plays better with CJ at the point. CJ can break down any defender the opposing team dare put on him, a talent that Dame simply doesn't have.
Dame is good at the blow-by speed drive, but can have difficulty getting around some of the better defenders to create - and has trouble with the double team - resulting in TO's having shot through the roof.

Cj has the break down moves and handle to be a greater threat for us at the point. And with this valuable experience he is going to improve over the next year or two.
Better creater than Dame, better shooter and better defender.

As they are currently playing, CJ should be our PG going forward.

Dog, you're failing to take into account the situation Damians in.

I've seen countless times where Dame sets up a teammate for an open shot, and they'll pass it up and hand the ball back to him. The clock runs down, and he has to throw up a tough lower percentage shot. This results in a lower FG/3pt percentage, because the situation he's in makes it so he HAS TO "chuck" a few shots a game. Sometimes, he just avoids the crappy bogged down unagressive offense that his teammates cause and goes straight into attack mode. But I guess you'd think an Aminu pick n roll with Plumlee would be better? (Lol) Or how bout Meyers passing up an open 3 off a pick n pop and kick to Harkless who then jab steps five times before he bricks a 3?

It also results in less assists because his teammates are passing up shots or not trying to attack once they get the ball. Dame also having to be in constant attack mode naturally means more turnovers, so your AST/TO argument against him holds no weight.

He's also the only guy opposing defenses gameplan for, and he's constantly going against double teams and pressure. But he has to create something out of it because nobody on the team other than CJ can attack or is even above average offensively. Given this, his percentages are to be expected of a star player. He's upped his PPG, assists, 3 point percentage and free throw attempts, while facing a situation infinitely more difficult than he has. But somehow given all these circumstances, and all the things he's doing better, this isn't his best season because his FG% is down by only 2 percentage points? Right.

That's a prime example of a bad shot by Dame. Does he watch game film of himself?

Holy shit there's a lot of warrior fans... way more than when I went a couple years ago.

It almost sounds like a home game for them. lol.

Curry is just too good of a shooter.

Goodness! Curry rainbow shot off the glass.

Come on guys, you can't even get up to play the warriors at home?

Ugly start for our guys.

We're rope-a-doping them! Tiring them out! We're gonna win this!

LOL!!!!! Plum hits the bottom of the net. LOL.

So much for that....I for some reason....thought these guys could come on sharp to take on the best team in the league. But they just look like a bunch of disinterested losers.

Would you ever be impressed?
I was impressed with Warriors in Finals last year. Not so much this year. They're a bunch of showboaters. No substance. This team would be swept by Spurs.

We don't want Aldridge and the Spurs to sweep them...

Great hustle by V
