When Melo comes back from the health/safety protocol, should he lose his spot in the rotation?

  • No, a player should not lose his spot because of an injury. He deserves his place in the rotation.

Melo is hitting shots....but he is still stagnating the offense. History tells us he won't stay nearly that hot.....but will continue to stall ball movement. Was a -6 in 5 minutes as well.

Better to look at the quality of shots than whether they went in. They were all low quality except possibly the first.

Just watch him on defense.

Melo just got a rebound and passed to CJ...for you guys counting...

Melo pass count: 2.

1. post entry to Hood
2. Defensive rebound to CJ

I seriously wonder what Melos percentage is on layups is in the last two seasons. Feels like he misses a ton of bunnies.

If it weren't for those types of passes, he wouldn't have hardly any at all...lol. Guess we should give him credit for not getting the rebound, then dribbling down to his own post up before ignoring everyone and then shooting.

When the Blazers move the ball > When the Blazers don't move the ball.

Also, they're picking apart our drop coverage.

Stotts needs to be on them about moving the ball and cutting more. We're trying to force creation and passes against a completely set defense and it's not working well.

Stotts should also probably throw a different look at them defensively because this coverage isn't working.

Ooof...this is kind of ugly. Going back to playing like they've never played together.

We miss an open three, they make a contested three; seems about right.

Clips scoring at will. That’ll need to change soon.

?

The stagnant offense isn't because of C.J.

C.J. is averaging around 7 assists per game.

Guessing that was referring to tonight. 40% shooting with 0 assists and 1 turnover so far.
