We’re playing like a team now. Keep it up.
This. A team. A team with chemistry. Please inject this into my veins because this team is quite good while sharing the ball and trusting. Not championship good, but you know.....a solid wing away from creating some serious problems as long as they keep sharing and caring

Because we’re not a contender, I wouldn’t mind if we made a big move, and to me that is trading CJ. not because he’s the problem, but because he’s the one with the most value outside of Dame, and I’m not trading Dame.

But I’m ok if that doesn’t happen either.
Copy that but an argument could be made that Dame would bring back more and we could slide bazz in at PG. We have no other 2 that can do what CJ does

NOT ADVOCATING TO TRADE DAME. JUST SAYING ITS IMPORTANT TO THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX WITH RELATION TO THE CURRENT ROSTER AND IT’S STRENGTHS

@HCP - still think OKC will "figure it out" and we're a .500 team?

We're half way through the season, we're ahead of OKC in the standings. They just lost to PHO and we blew them out on their home court without our best player.

BNM
They're garbage and now HCP knows it.

I agree but what happens when they miss some of those shots they made tonight? Who do we blame? The lack of shooters or the lack of sharing and caring? Assists go up when players make shots......

They played a very methodical game tonight. They took their time and basically grinded it out. I think that is why they play better on the road then at home. They know it is the only way they can win. They seem to focus more on D. The Blazers, even with their "small" back court, are built more for D then they are O. Probably by default since they don't have shooters at every position.......on most nights. They will need to slow it way down against the Rockets in Houston. They can't keep up with their pace. They should not even try.

It's part of a Neil Olshey agenda. I just know it!
I've been wondering if Meyers asked for a trade, and they are working on it and playing the guys who are going to be here. Meyers doesn't seem like he minds the benching, and he's not nearly as engaged or nearly the towel waiver he used to be.

Probably doesn't want to risk re-injuring his shoulder.

Fatty Felton

Always. It's a perpetual condition.

I know I get labeled a Westbrook hater by the Westbrook fan bois, and I admit I hate his game. He seems way more concerned about his own stats and hogging the spotlight than he does about winning.

But the one thing I love about Russ is he rarely lets me down. We've now beat OKC 5 of the last 6 and are 10-4 against them over the past four seasons.

He can have all the triple doubles in the world, as long as he's shooting 7-20 and turning the ball over 6 times, he's hurting his team. I'm glad he's in OKC. I'm glad Durant left and I'm glad their Big 3 isn't nearly as good as many thought they would be.

I actually think I like beating OKC more than any team in the league. Of the teams I dislike the most (OKC, HOU, LAL and LAC), they are the only ones in our division. That makes beating them extra sweet.

Didn’t feel like a grind to me at all

Just got done watching it on delay - that was beautiful.

My favorite moment of the night was with 6:25 left in the game. Carmelo is "guarding" Collins on the far wing but has his head turned, focused on Harkless with the ball. Harkless drives and as he dishes, Carmelo runs back out to the three point line where Collins was... except Collins had already cut and was nearly in the paint already, got the pass and dunked it.

If you pause it on the right frame you'll see Carmelo near the three-point line facing the crowd, and his man is about to dunk the ball.... hahaha

Just poor defensive fundamentals. One of the very first things you teach kids is to constantly have their head on a swivel: see your man, see the ball, see your man, see the ball...

Melo got caught ball watching. A common mistake - for 3rd graders.

Can’t disagree with any of that, but if the Blazers beat GSW, it’s okay if I enjoy that one too, right?

You know, I have just been to OKC, and in general it feels like a less developed version of Dallas - miles and miles of concrete, but they have some nice stuff there. The 21c museum hotel is amazing, probably my favorite hotel in many years

I had an absolutely wonderful weekend in Toledo a couple years ago, and stayed in a beautifully restored 14,000 sq. ft. Victorian bed and breakfast.

But, I wouldn't want to live there - or OKC.

I never said we would be a .500 team. I said 40-42.
And yes, OKC will probably move onto the 2nd round at least.

Impressions at half time of the replay.

OKC looks great on paper, but they play barely better than rat ball. It's like Summer League with better players.

It's extremely noticeable that they pipe in the crowd noises. For example they're playing the D-FENCE beat, and you can hear the crowd chanting, but everyone in the crowd is sitting on their hands. It's not just that chant, but every crowd noise. I don't think I've heard a genuine crowd noise all game. What an embarrassment, to themselves, and the league.

OKC plays like their shit doesn't stink. The refs swallow their whistles when they constantly commit offensive fouls, yet they whine non-stop when they miss a shot, even if they weren't even touched. Every foul called on them, they remonstrate with the refs. Nothing is their fault, the refs get every call wrong. If the refs called it properly, they would be tossed in the first quarter.

What an entitled bunch of prima donna's who think their superstar status alone will get them the win. It's so disappointing, because if they actually applied themselves, and played properly, they could challenge Golden State.

My man Terrance Ferguson will be ruined by that team. He has a chance to be a solid 3nD wing, but he'll turn into an entitled, lazy, whiner if he stays with this group of players.

I know my entire post is about OKC, but their antics have wound me up that much.

Yes, that's it Paul George, yell at the rookie in his 3rd start; that CJ scoring is "too easy". CJ's been scoring over you all night, he's scored far more points on you than the 4 he's scored on Ferguson. You couldn't stop CJ, but berating the rookie will somehow allow him to do something that you were unable to do.
