We would never be close to 12-0 against the top teams in the West with our style of play, that seems to be the part you're not understanding.
Not really buying the "Style of Play" thing. I have watched probably more basketball this year than i have for a very long time just because my schedule is allowing it. But I'm sure not as much as you.
So many teams are doing the exact same things on the court. By style i assume you are talking about Offense. The offense is infuriating at times i agree. I watch them slow it down constantly while I'm yelling Push Push! Push the ball!
Then i run it back and watch Stotts on the sideline waving his arms obviously yelling the same thing.
Then on defense i see them double or soft trap and i yell "Get in there" "Close out on that guy" "Get those hands up" and then i run it back again and there is Stotts pulling his mask down yelling obviously the same thing I'm thinking.

Then i'll watch another team. Warriors have been my go to recently because i have family down there and we text during their games. Some of the exact same plays and styles are run the exact same way. Team after team i am watching is also running those very same plays to get those looks. They make some of the exact same mistakes and obviously they make some of the same winning style of plays. They have some different pieces though. Yes draymond is a huge asset. Obviously Curry. They have some wings that make huge shots. When the shots fall they win.
Make no mistake they have to play defense to win as well.

There was a play last night where CJ got a rebound and an opportunity with both Trent and Jones heading up court. They totally had the Nets on their heals. Harden would have exploded and pressed or found a down court pass to make. CJ dribbled through his legs and eased up allowing the defense to set. Of course he went down court and looked for a three. After running about 15 seconds off the clock he passed to Melo who in turn dribbled dribbled, Jab stepped and threw up a step back three that missed.
I'm assuming this is the Style that you hate as well. It's infuriating.

I understand that's your opinion. I don't think we'd go 12-0 with any style of play, but that's my opinion, not fact.

However, if they went 12-0 with a style of play I didn't , I would be willing to tip my cap and say that it was good enough. It seems like you don't want there to be any firm measurable to where you would have to give this team credit, there will always be a subjective opening for you to nitpick.

We have a backup C and he doesn't play. Wed rather play Melo/RoCo at C to play the useless Hood instead of using a serviceable backup C.

I hear you and while I also think Giles would be a better defensive option at center over Melo, he gives up a lot on the other end.

We're also talking about a guy who's rookie option wasn't picked up. These are the types of guy who work when surrounded by 3 all-stars, but not ones you want to lean on in my opinion. Melo is in the same boat. I want a good defensive big as an option in games we must have one, not just Kanter and Giles who leave a lot to be desired on that end of the floor.

Regardless, Stotts works for Olshey. It's Olshey's job to put the best roster together. If he's giving Stotts great players who Olshey feels should be playing, then Olshey should demand they play or fire Stotts. How anyone can be so pro-Olshey and so anti-Stotts in the same breath defies all logic.

This is what we call “losing the team” because if you can’t get the players to do what you want you have ceased being a coach and you are now a fan on the sideline.

It is unacceptable to play Melo at C. He refuses to play defense. Defense is below him.

They love Stotts because they can do what they want

Terry is the nice grandparent that lets his grandkids do whatever they want.

Example, when I was like 12 or 13 I went on an Alaskan cruise with my grandmother. She took all her grandkids on a cruise so she could get to spend time with them. On the cruise, I would hang out with my grandma during the day and we would go ashore and sightsee and all that tourist stuff. At night she would go to bed at 8pm and I would stay up and wander around the ship by myself. The ship had a dance club so I would go in there and dance with the female crew members till midnight. Zero supervision. I loved that Grandma.

"dear penthouse,

this one time while I was on a cruise with my grandmother, I was able to nail a hot female crew member while my grandmother slept. Let me tell you the story..."

We only need to play .571 ball to win in playoffs. Surely we can do that with our level of play?

Portland's playoff record under Stotts is playing .357 ball....and you think suddenly the Blazers will play .571 ball?

what kind of drugs are available on the Good Ship Lollypop?

No it's not. I've been through times when the coach lost the team. This absolutely is not one of them.
It's just the way you are interpreting it.
Go back to Carlisimo in 97, Shuler the year after he was named COY in 1988, Go watch what happened with Nate McMillian.
I understand you really want that to be the case (almost have a weird need to have that be the case) but it absolutely in not the case.

If they don't listen to him, he's either incompetent or he lost the team. It doesn't matter if they like him personally.

Who said anything about them not listening to him? That was never the point? What was said was when they were not doing it he was yelling at them to do it. There were plenty of times they did do exactly what he was saying to do. Just not well enough or quick enough in my opinion.
By the way is there giant speakers playing crowd noise in the arena while they are playing or is that like dubbed over the broadcast? I heard they had giant speakers blasting noise into the game area during play? I have no way to verify that though?

This is what I think. Stotts had ideas for the offense coming into this job. I even think he had offensive ideas after the huge turnover in 2014. Then Dame started winning games on his own and Terry decided to just be a cheerleader for the guys, give them all the ultimate green light, have robotic rotations, make little to no in game adjustments and then disavow the idea of accountability.

Terry Stotts hasn't lost this team, this team lost Terry Stotts, years ago. I think Stotts seems to be a really likeable guy and if his feet were held to the fire, a good coach. So of course Stotts shouldn't have made it this long with this job and of course he should go but plain and simple it circles back to Neil.

Me: They're not listening to him

You: When they were not doing it he was yelling at them to do it.
