:reading: OFFICIAL BLAZERS' GAME NOTES

• Portland's March 23 game against Brooklyn will be the first of two meetings between the Trail Blazers and Nets during the 2020-21 season. The final game will be played on April 30 at Brooklyn.

• LAST SEASON: The two squads split the season series in 2019-20, 1-1. Portland's win came on Aug. 13 in the bubble, clinching the eight-seed prior to the Western Conference play-in game.

• Damian Lillard averaged 51.0 points (58.2% FG, 50.0% 3-PT, 95.8% FT), 3.5 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 1.0 steals in two games against Brooklyn last season, including a 60-point outing on Nov. 8, 2019.

• CJ McCollum averaged 16.5 points (20.0% FG, 87.5% FT), 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.00 steals and 1.50 blocks in two games against the Nets last season.

• In his lone game against Portland last season, Kyrie Irving scored 33 points (12-27 FG, 4-8 3-PT, 5-5 FT) to go with three rebounds and six assists.

HEAD-TO-HEAD HISTORY:
ALL TIME: Trail Blazers lead, 65-25
PORTLAND HOME: Trail Blazers lead, 37-8
BROOKLYN HOME: Trail Blazers lead, 27-18

If the Blazers can get the W here, I will forgive them for the embarrassing showing against the Mavs.

This is the last game of the 5-game homestand for Portland. After this one, the Blazers will be on the road for the rest of March for 4 games.

Nets missing more talent than the Blazers.....and will still be favored.

Oh shit, this could be ugly but what the last two games have shown us is you don't know what the fuck you're going to get from our team night in and night out. So maybe we make a game of this one.

I do have a question. Is their a stat that shows how badly we get out rebounded when Melo is playing the 5 because it feels and looks really bad. Is their some kind of +/- rebounding or rebounds against replacement or some shit like that because... if Giles isn't completely fucking broken this Melo at center shit is driving me crazier.

He put his sisters' wig on. Our players should torment him.
Watch: Irving, Harris, Harden, Griffin will go ape shit on us.

Any time we look at a schedule and see a decent team coming up that just got blown out of their gym we all say the same thing. "Dang. Wish the Blazers didn't have to play them after getting blown out".
Some Brooklyn fan is typing "Uh Oh... Blazers just got blown out. Now they are going to come out firing"

Here is my prediction on this game. Blazers are out matched in the starting unit and are about even off the bench. Going to take a huge night from the Starters to stay in this game. They need to play defense for 48 minutes.
If they can do that they will be in a position to win at the end. Not going to be easy any way you cut it.

I looked at the Brooklyn schedule. They are on kind of a tough run right now. After three at home they went to Indiana then to Orlando and split those two games.
Then they went back home for a one game turnaround vs the Wiz which they won.
Then took back off and came to Portland for the first of a B2B.
They play the Jazz the following day.
The next time Portland plays them will be April 30th

Neither will shamet.
Well there's hope and our team should come out wanting to prove something but our team is wildly inconsistent. So we'll see if we can win against the biggest stats monster in the league and a few good role players.

This should be a win..they’re basically handing us the game like we did to Dallas last night
Not to be a downer but it's not exactly the same. Their backups are basically handing this one to us (we could still drop it) and the same team that beat Dallas two nights before handed them that game last night.

Harden out as well as Irving and Durant? That seems like another trap game.
Make all the jokes about Claxton you want but he is better than our backup center. Jordan feasts on teams without an inside presence as well.
Bruce Brown is better than the Blazers non existent Backup PG unless you say CJ is the Backup?

Three games in four days on the road looks like this team is going to push bench role players and see if they can create some havoc.

My biggest complaint about Stotts is he doesn't seem to be interested in rest games and minutes management over a season. There are games where you know players are simply treading water trying to get through the motions. During those stretches i would be more willing to rest players that have been carrying the load.

that being said, kyrie is out for "family reasons", just so it happens to be his birthday today

what a headcase that guy is
Nice catch. How does this get approval?
Guess we are lucky Lillard's Birthday is in July.

Harden is out?

I am sure we will win. I am just not sure will I be awake to wittnes it till the very end, as it starts at 3 am my local Bosnia time. Nevermind, Blazers will win, do not worry.
