I have nothing against Nic the person, it sucks that he's going through a shitty divorce and doesn't seem to have much confidence in his game.

But I am a Blazer fan, I root for the team and the city.

...except for Nic who you seem to be rooting against. Root FOR players, yeah?

But I am a Blazer fan, I root for the team and the city. If a player isn't contributing to the success of the team, I want him to either step it up or become a trade asset to bring in a player(s) who will. Nic Batum has always been a talent with skills, but his motor is highly suspect and for every game that he shows his full potential, he has 3 games where he disappears or plays a passive "letting the game come to him". I'm all for glue guys and players who do the unsung dirty work that every team needs, but Batum is not that player. I lobbied for him to be traded when his value was high. I think that there are small forwards in the league who, although they would not have the talent of Batum, would have the "Wes Matthews" drive and determination to give it 100% every damn night. The Blazers should get one of those.
You might want to take this to one of the many Batum threads..Batum tracker, etc...I'd rather enjoy the game.

Honestly, if they're not going to play Crabbe, at least give a reason.

Understand what chris means. He rooted for Portland before Batum and he will still root for the team after Batum. He cares about the success of The Portland Trail Blazers ahead of any one player. In this case, he thinks we could do better than Batum at the SF position. Nothing wrong with that.

Bass just learned that you don't bump Kaman out of his spot

Odd that Kaman didn't even flinch when Bass landed.

Hope he's OK.

We're down to 10 healthy players and they're all playing their butts off! Go Blazers!

EVERYBODY gets injured tonight! The injury gods are all like

I root for players who earn my rooting. As a lifetime Blazer fan, I've seen many, many players that have worn the Blazer uniform that couldn't hack it. Or more importantly, didn't WANT to hack it, for whatever reason. All I ask for the millions that they make is play hard and continuously try to improve. If they do that, I will root for them to the ends of the earth. I will have their back through the hardest of hardships. But I will not give my emotional all for players that either don't want to be here or don't want to put the work in to be the best players they can be. There's too many other players out there who will.

A friend of mine who is a Spurs fan, just texted me and said "sucks about all those injuries. We know how that's like"

so I wrote back "yeah, those 5 titles probably have helped you get over that"

Thanks, Eric.

That's ridiculous Chris - Batum continues to play through injuries and you say he doesn't deserve your support?

Well we're stuck with him so you might as well hope he does well. Some intense desire to be right about Nic so you can earn internet points doesn't do much good either.

I hope Stotts gives TRob the starting PF spot permanently til Aldridge comes back. He deserves it and we need the continuity.

What about the weeks, months, seasons where he disappeared from games that the Blazers could have sorely used a full-on Nic Batum while completely healthy? Does he get a free pass for that?

OTOH, the Blazers finally seem to be pulling away from Boston. Will be a great win with all the adversary.
