:reading: OFFICIAL BLAZERS' GAME NOTES

• Wednesday marks the second and final matchup between the Trail Blazers and Hawks in 2015-16.

• Atlanta defeated Portland, 106-97, at home earlier this season on Dec. 21. In that game, Dennis Schroder scored 18 points off the bench on 7-of-10 shooting (3-4 3-PT).

• Neither Damian Lillard (left foot plantar fasciitis) or CJ McCollum (bilateral ankle sprains) were active in the first matchup between these teams on Dec. 21.

• This contest marked the first time Damian Lillard missed a game in his NBA career. Lillard had previously played in each of his fi rst 275 games.

• Tim Frazier made his first start as a Trail Blazer at Atlanta on Dec. 21 and produced 12 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Frazier became the first Portland player to play 47+ minutes in a non-overtime game since Will Barton (48, 4/17/13).

• Allen Crabbe scored a game-high 19 points (8-18 FG) and Mason Plumlee recorded a double-double (11 pts, 10 reb) against Atlanta earlier this season (12/21).

• Atlanta won both of its games against Portland last season, marking the team’s first season sweep over the Trail Blazers since 2010-11.

• Atlanta hasn’t swept Portland in consecutive seasons since 2009-10 to 2010-11 (ATL swept POR in 2014-15).

• The Trail Blazers are ranked fifth in the NBA with 45.9 rebounds per game, while the Hawks are averaging 40.6 boards per contest (29th in NBA).

• Terry Stotts earned his first NBA head coaching job with the Hawks, where he spent two seasons at the helm from 2002-04 and compiled a 52-85 (.380) record.

HEAD-TO-HEAD HISTORY:
ALL TIME: Hawks lead, 54-53
IN PORTLAND: Trail Blazers lead, 34-19
AT THE HAWKS: Hawks lead, 35-19

Milsap and Horford. Another one of those duo's that work the inside as well as out that the Blazers have trouble with. We all know they got to watch Korver, Teague and Bazemore also. This should be a good game to watch.
And All on National TV!
Some people think the Blazers should have gone after Budenholzer instead of Stotts.

Every team wishes they'd gone for coach Bud...to me he's the next Pops..he is the real deal...I'm still happy with Stotts though

When they played us last season, PG Jeff Teague was as effective as a top-5 PG in the league. I was bowled over by the underrated Teague.

The Atlanta Hawks are still a good team, just nowhere near what they were last season...Teague has been battling a pesky ankle sprain that has minimized his explosiveness...Teague averaged 7.0 assists in 2014-15, this season he is down to only 5.6...Teague is only averaging 10 points and 4.5 assists in January. His minutes are down and he continues to not have the impact he did last season. If his ankle is hurting, the Hawks need to sit him down and let him get well.

Maybe we have a chance.

I hate these late starts and long ESPN commercial breaks.

But I love getting to watch the team I love!!

GAH! Three more hours to tipoff!

Shock the Hawks!

In that picture Henderson looks like Kobe's brother. (No offense Gerald.)

Can Crabbe get UHF? Damn. (No offense Allen.)

Go Good Guys! Interesting challenge with Millsap, Horford against Plumlee and Davis

Vonleh! So happy to see him hit his first shot, and the fact that it was a 3 makes it much sweeter

HELL YEAH!!! Fantastic start to the game!!!

Our boys came to play tonight! Not sure what the hype is about Atlanta tbh.

I love how much better Vonleh moves his feet on defense. It's starting to become a thing of joy to watch in his ever improving game!

KGW or ESPN? Which broadcast are you gonna watch? I'm going KGW
I always prefer Mike & Mike when possible, but LP blacks out nationally televised games so have to go ESPN here. It's OK though, Jon Barry and this other guy ain't bad.

CJ looking good early
