GAME THREAD: HAWKS @ BLAZERS - MARCH 5TH, 2014 - WEDNESDAY, 7:30 PM (PST), CSNNW

Good game to get us off on this trip. Phew.

Mo was our top scorer tonight with 15. Wow.

Mo does give a good interview. Seems like a very likable guy.

Since we lost the Laker game, we have to go 3-2 (or better) on this upcoming road trip, or it'll be deemed a failure.

No Blazers played over 30 minutes tonight. That's great game management. Our guys will need the extra rest for the upcoming 5 game road trip.

I only caught the last 2 minutes. All I noticed was that Leonard fucked up Claver on a play under the basket, Claver told him off what he did wrong, then they banged hands together to make up in solidarity, and resumed play. I thought, Leonard has no clue how to play, but gets a lot of free coaching from teammates. Then Leonard got a couple more rebounds purely because of his height, and the game was over.

The Trail Blazers have made at least 13 3-pointers for the 12th time this season, most in the NBA.

Portland has ended Kyle Korver's streak of 127 consecutive games with a 3-pointer, an NBA record.

Portland's 19 wins (19-4) against the East are tied for the most by any Western Conference team (Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Houston).

Atlanta's 78 points and 33.0% FG both mark season lows for a Trail Blazers opponent.

His confidence is somewhere but nowhere near his shot, the word shot, or a shot glass.

Because he missed his one attempt? Seriously? Sure, he needs to get his rhythm, but he has shown what he can do.

Leonard is still clueless but made some nice plays, 4 pts, 7 reb, 4 ast his stats.

Simmer down, it was just a joke. Claver can't shoot right now, but I love his game overall.

I missed the game so I read the whole game thread. Took me an hour. Probably the biggest mistake of my life.

Most Consecutive Games with a 3-pt FG

127 Kyle Korver
89 Dana Barros
79 Michael Adams
78 Dennis Scott

Solid, solid win. This is how good we can look when our D is on track and we move the ball. I think that LA loss might turn out to be a positive when all is said and done. Definitely a wake up call.

The Laker game definitely had a lot to do with our focus against the Hawks. It should never have come to that though so I can't call it a positive.

Hahahaha, poor Korver. Was it wrong of me to laugh when he was sitting on the bench w/his hands on his face? Totally looked like he was pouting, or pissed, either way.

Leonard still looks TERRIBLE on the court and when you get our "lead evaporator" line up into the game its definitely noticeable that they really have a hard time understanding what to do.

On the plus side, Nic beasted again. I've said some harsh things in the past about Nic, but only because hes so inconsistent. I hope this beasting doesn't stop.

Also loved how Lillard was straight up distributing the ball during the game; It seemed like he knew he was going to get a lot of attention and made sure the other guys got theirs, I think IIRC he'd have at least 9 assists if LMA wasn't in a slump.

Dame must have done some video studying. He's been missing those kicks out after drives, but last night, he was on top. Same with Mo.

More drive and kicks instead of bad layup attempts.

What has gotten into Nic? Did he just decide that he wanted to rebound like Kevin Love?
We have played some small ball teams. I suppose that might have something to do with it. But I believe Batum focuses on whatever he is supposed to focus on, on a given night. It's almost always facilitating plays and setting up teammates, sometimes it's defense, sometimes rebounding, rarely is he asked to focus on scoring. He's the utility knife of basketball players.

I can see wanting to keep a streak alive, but it looked like Korver was more upset over his streak than his team getting blow out of the arena, and on national TV.

We had that awful rebounding game against Denver, where we got outrebunded by like 20 or something, and I think Nic mentioned after that that the coaches got on them, and mentioned it to him that he needs to help out more there or something like that. He "only" had 6 against brooklyn, but we weren't missing many shots, and he did have a 21.1 DRB% that game. And since then has been on a tear.
