Poor Quick has to watch his career stats take a hit right before he retires.

Another L, Rangers now tied for the 3rd worst points % in the league with the Flames, keep on losing fellas.

In the 4 minutes I flipped the game on, I'm 99% sure I heard the crowd chanting "fire Drury", it's about time people wake up to how horrifically awful he is at his job. BTW, is he still waiting to see if the Rangers should be buyers or sellers, he's so lost I bet he is. Maybe he'll wake up at some point and actually do something, which will probably be trade for 31 in March UFA to be Sherwood, which makes perfect sense to clueless and lost Drury.

Yep. Keep losing. Sadly, our owner Dolan is so brainwashed by this assclown Drury. I wish Messier would tell him Drury sucks and you need new leadership.

The football game wasn't much more entertaining but it was nice to see Othmann be more aggressive offensively. I also like Morrow in the lineup but seeing Raddysh and Brod every game instead of prospects makes no sense, not sure if that's on Sullivan or Drury. The trade deadline is months away, who knows where the Rangers will be then but there is no team pride among this group, no veteran leadership, no desire to give 100% in front of the home crowd. I think Drury's biggest mistake was salary dumping a heart and soul guy like Goodrow to pay that soft bum Krappo more money then forcing out Trouba who clearly wasn't the problem. Drury has done a U turn on his philosophy of grit and we're back to the days of a team that gets pushed around and can't clear the goal crease.

The trade deadline may be on March 6th (not months away) but, keep in mind the NHL goes dark for more than two weeks during the Olympics. And while no one knows for sure where the Rangers will be at that point...we all should have the expectation that they will be in the same position as they are now, near the bottom of the standings with only a mathematical chance of making the playoffs. This team is going nowhere this year. Even if you have only marginally followed them this season it has to obvious this team is non-competitive.

Probably the least interested the fan base has been in a Rangers team since the 80's. Shit farm system. No young centers that are top line talents. Aging vets. Honestly, the only hope we have is fuckface Drury trades all of them other than Trochek. Miller, Zibanedouche, Fox, Soucy, Borgen, Quick. Give Quick a chance to backup on a cup contending team. I'd keep Lafreniere, play him 25 minutes a night, hope at some point he gets hot, then when his value is up, seek a deal for him.

Also, before it gets too far out of hand...this was the Rangers 47th game, not 46th. Must maintain accurate records.

The Rangers are last place in the whole East, AND they've played more games than any team. They are 5th worst by points % in the whole NHL, barely ahead of the 2nd worst team. They are horrific.

IMO, all of us should be rooting for this team to lose as many games as possible. First that will help us get the best pick possible and second the more they lose the more likely it is even moronic, clueless, in over his head, lost Drury might realize he needs to try and trade everything that isn't nailed down.

This team cannot lose enough the remaining 35 games!!!

Agree. Plus, the more the lose, the louder the fire Drury chants will get and maybe dumbass Dolan will fire him.

It’s just mind blowing how badly this has been run. Moving Kreider, Trouba and Kakko helped what? Especially, when you’re still giving out moronic contracts. This is easily what causes a long run of not making the playoffs.

I honestly don’t understand why they keep playing Quick and didn’t bring up Garand. Just file that under another full retard moment for this franchise. Can’t get rid of Drury soon enough. This team has regressed to untold levels under this buffoon.

ABSOLUTELY! Asking a soon-to-be 40 year old to play in goal every night is beyond stupid. You have a prospect in the system. At the very least they should be rotating starts. Mistake after mistake.

It's another move that shows how clueless they are.

This is simple to me, they believe the team still has something to play for. With that as the backdrop, they believe Quick will be the # 1 guy even at 40. Therefore, they did not call up Garand to play 1 out of 6 or 7 games. That's the calculus or logic they applied to the Quick/no Garand decision. Of course, that decision is totally moronic and in fantasy land, but that's what the Rangers are under Drury, in fantasy land.

They refuse to accept what is crystal clear, the team is a flat out joke and needs to be torn apart immediately. They truly believe this season can still be salvaged. That's why every loss is a huge win, especially when it's an embarrassing loss like a few have been recently. That's what is needed to MAYBE wake useless and clueless Drury up and bring him into reality!!!

Aside from Panarin I don't see anything of value among the older players on the roster. They are all coming off down scoring seasons and tracking for similar or worse scoring this year. Since the great Cup win of '94 when they had all the right pieces and Smith made all the right moves the Rangers have missed the playoffs half the seasons. The Rangers tradition is overspending on mediocrity not winning, Artemi was one of the first legit top scorers they've signed in years and he still has some ability so I think he'll go. Barring desperation from a spate of injuries at the same position I don't see a playoff team looking for any of the other mopey, prideless slugs on this team.

I don't agree with the nothing of value outside of Panarin comment. Trocheck would definitely have value to a contender. He's signed to a very good contract for a few more years, wins FO's, is gritty, can kill penalties, and scores 20 + goals. I also think Zibanejad could have value to a contender, if Drury can get him to waive his NMC (which I highly doubt Drury has the ability or skillset to do). I think the same goes for Fox, who absolutely would have value.

Also, what is value? Does that mean 1st round picks, top prospects, decent prospects? If value means decent prospects/picks I think they can get some value. To me, just getting out from under Zibanejad's $8.5M is value in itself. I would trade him for mid round picks and prospects if I could clear his cap hit or maybe take back lesser cap hit for fewer years.

I do think trades can be made, I do not think Drury can make them though or get guys to waive their NTC/NMC. Those conversations take the right approach and words, and I do not believe Drury has it in him to handle it correctly. I'm not even fully confident Drury has raised the white flag on this pile of trash season. It's why they don't bring up Garand and instead make 40-year-old Quick the # 1. We're still in this thing is what Drury thinks...sad and pathetic.
