Stotts has a new way to mess with Jake. Play him for stretches of 2 minutes, 4 minutes and 1 minute in the 2nd half. I can't imagine him doing that to anyone else on the team.

Money made....but I was actually hoping to lose the bet and win the game. The money didn't help me feel better.

I knew Terry would fuck him as soon as he missed some shots, even though the team still did better with him on the floor. Why did Moe get the same amount of minutes? It’s not like he was locking anyone down defensively, shit, layman even made more plays on that end.

OKC makes teams play sloppy. Stotts will make adjustments and we’ll win the next 2 against them.
Me: We played bad.
You (paraphrasing): They make teams play bad it's not our fault.

You're also wrong more than you our right when it comes to predictions, so that gives me 0 reassurance.

The Blazers got there and in their motel rooms by 4 am after playing in Utah last night. I think maybe they might have run out of gas.
Pretty obvious that team was giving everything they had. Just didn't have enough to in the end. Got to give OKC props for playing that game to win on their court.
If we want to be a contender we cant make excuses for playing terribly.

Jake certainly had an off game....and still had as many points as Aminu and Harkless combined.

Even his off game was fine. He wasn’t hesitating and none of his shots were really forced. The offense just flows better when he’s out there. Teams don’t respect Harkless and he’s too limited and passive to rely on night in and night out. I’m not even hating, that’s just the reality, with his entire career as evidence.

So, nobody has mentioned Westbrook’s triple double. Was this one a “bad” one too? I keep getting confused on why they are “bad”.

Mad respect for that guys game. Killer mentality out there. Full-speed 110%

You didn't read the post in the Game Thread where I backed you up for liking Russell Westbrook, did you?

that's going to make the remaining 2 games interesting. Unfortunately for Portland, in 3 weeks they go to OKC again on the 2nd night of a b2b. And the 4th game is the first home game after a 7 game road trip. Those game are always a struggle

Portland needs to avoid a letdown in Phoenix, then they need to win at least 3 games on their 4 game home stand. After that, they have a 15 game stretch with 12 on the road, and 2 of the three home games are against Golden State and OKC...that's a tough schedule

Another B2B in that OKC? WHO COMES UP WITH THESE SCHEDULES? SATAN?!

last year we had the toughest schedule to close the season. looks like it is going to be even tougher this year given how close the west is. We are going to need everyone ... and Stotts better coach his behind off.

Really tough B2B on the road, couldve easily lost both, they played bad tonight. I thought this felt like a schedule loss going into it. Not meant as an excuse or just being a homer but nothing that happened tonight was a surprise.

Hopefully they can make a decent move at the deadline, but I wouldnt take a lot from this game.
You are not making an excuse there. That is simply fact. It was a tough B2B on the road.

"Paul George had 36 points, eight rebounds and five steals, Russell Westbrook had a triple-double of 29 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds and the Thunder beat the Portland Trail Blazers 123-114 on Tuesday night.

Steven Adams and Terrance Ferguson each added 14 points for Oklahoma City, which snapped a three-game losing streak to Portland at Chesapeake Energy Arena. After a stretch of losing five of six games, during which they gave up 154, 142 and 138 points in defeats, the Thunder have won three straight and moved back into third place in the fluid Western Conference standing".

-They were motivated to win and I thought from tip off, we were not going to pull this one out. They had four key players that scored and all players had crisp defense. Defense was a word our guys really did not understand last night.-stampedehero.

That isn't an excuse. it's a fact. That team didn't play terribly. They played tired.

Yep, the circumstances definitely put us at a disadvantage. Sure we both played the day before, but Blazers were in high elevation Utah, then lost another hour traveling to OKC while they played 5 hours earlier and gained an hour traveling back to OKC and were home before we tipped off in Utah. The desire and fight was there, but the tiredness was as well. Win at PHX and the road trip will be successful

You might be underestimating Russel Westbrook. Dude is a freaking bad ass. I would put money he would kick the shit out of just about anyone in the Bosnian League that tried. Just sayin.

Hard to prove anything. I will just st tell you that i follow something in NBA and you do not know anything about Bosnian leaague (league is not imporant it is weak but mentality of the people and players is what i speak about) His body language and face expresion is only showtime. Ok it has to be that in nba i understand. In Bosnia there is no any show. When somebody is trying to be agressive and dominant on dirty way and itritated in the same time, het got his portion immediatelly. I do not expect to believe me, its ok, we are far far away from your point of view. Players like him wouldnt last much. Many factors in our mentality but never mind, hard to explain. I tell you, he us only for show time and i speak only about his character he show on the pitch, not about basketball quality.

Dame played 40 mins on the second night of a back to back after having played 36 the night prior. He hasn't had a single night off this year. And these are HARD minutes. He's facing like a hundred pick and rolls every night. Not necessary, Terry. We have enough knowledge about over-use injuries that this shit shouldn't happen. Reminds me of how Boogie got hurt last year.

Same with Nurk. 32 and 37 minutes. Or CJ 38 and 38.

Terry's starting to remind me a bit of Thibs in that regard.

I had to watch the replay of this game listening to the OKC broadcasters....

let me tell you they are FUCKING OBNOXIOUS ASSHOLES

And I would have said the same thing had we won, god damn they are the worst.
