Crabbe + whatever for Nerlens Noel + whatever.

Make it happen. We need defense.

Our only good win isn't against Utah. Choked against clippers. Rallied and went to OT with Denver, should of never happened. Lost by 30 to golden state and now go to OT with another shit team we should of beat easily and lose. Not looking good

Yup honestly we're lucky our record isn't 0-5 right now

It's not about that. Look how they are playing. It's nothing like last season. It's off. If they can't figure it out the losses pile up
We started off bad last season too, we are breaking in a new rotation too. It's gonna take till Christmas to get this shit solid. If we are .500 or higher by then we will be fine.

Lol guys we are only 2-3. We have over 70 games to go... things will normalize.

That is true, they started last year shitty too. But the thing isn't not that they're 2-3, it's HOW they're 2-3. 2 home losses, and a road loss against a shitty team, and barely winning the games they did win, including one they really didn't deserve.

We've only won in Phoenix four times since 2004. It's a tough place for us to play.

Explain how we could be 2-3 in a good way. Would it be more impressive if we had two blowouts and three losses where we blew it at the end? What's a good 2-3 look like?

After starting out slowly last year, it's frustrating to see the team get out of the gates slowly once again, esp one that returned 90% of their minutes from the previous season. I'm not panicking yet, but I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't concerned.

4-9 exceeded expectations. 2-3 is woefully under performing based on expectations. Maybe we need to adjust our expectations, and consider this a lost season...so that way the team out performs expectations.
It's the same team. You guys. Last year, we had the same team and you all thought we'd win 25-30 games. Then we add Evan Turner and THAT is what convinces you we're a 50 win team?

Let's say they started the year vs G-State, Spurs, Clippers, Cavs and Jazz, all on the road, and went 2-3.

That would be 2-3 in a good way.

says the guy who was almost borderline postal whenever anyone suggested the team would win less than 45 games last year...

Just finished the game and well that sucked but i'd rather Bledsoe take that shot 10000x then almost anyone else out there, he will miss that shot almost everytime but he didn't vs us and that sucks but onto the next game. I still think it will take about 20 games to really have this team gel and hopefully we are about .500 when that happens. The def isn't there and we leave Plumlee out to dry under the rim way to often. We are also scoring a lot but the offense seems to stall around "lets watch dame and pass up open shots to make a pass that leads to a more contested shot" and the same goes for ET when he is in and Dame is out. If we still look this lost after 20 games then i'll really start worry but its a long season and we are starting out crappy but its how you finish not how you start that matters more.

I think this team is still trying to figure out how all of the pieces are supposed to fit (outside of Lillard and CJ) Maybe some guys are pressing and others are just starting slowly on offense, but the lack of defensive improvement is what I find troubling.

Then again a whole lot of people just got paid this summer, it doesn't seem impossible that some guys coast a little or start thinking that they're hot shit and don't have to hustle quite as much. Who knows?

If this team still looks as flat and disjointed in 20 games then I think you can start to really worry, but I'm guessing once they run the the gauntlet in November they'll start to pick it up -- the schedule gets a bit easier, roles will hopefully be more clearly defined and hopefully some guys will step up their game.

More Vonleh, more layman. We need Vonlehs rebounding and laymans shooting.

Less aminu. Harkless is better and not as wild. Aminu pretty much makes bench player money anyways. He has a tradeable contract. Wouldn't be surprised if he's packaged eventually.

Leonard played well, we should use him whenever we play rim protecting centers

Wonderful post. Really well said.

I don't get why Vonleh did not play a single minute of this after toying with the same exact team in preseason when he came on. Our frontcourt is not working defensively or offensively so the least we could do now is to try out other options.

Very frustrating game. It looked like we had it with 4-point lead late on but went on a clueless run again. There is room for improvement in this bunch but I cannot keep but think we might need a few new players to be truly competitive.
