Game Thread Game 5 Rangers Look to take charge...

They should be sitting in the locker-room knowing that they didn't bring it, at a point in the season where they should have. If I had been sitting in the stands, I'd be feeling cheated.

That's what we have to hang our hats on 31...I agree. Issue is when you go to the well time and time again you sometimes come up dry. And TB is so darn good at home. We'll see...

I think they had maybe 5 good looks, took the shot, but nobody went to the net. Same ole story for these guys ...

I would be honest tonight and say full credit to TB for having a game plan and focusing on D, but we also didn't play well tonight. We didn't really test Bishop and we need to be much more aggressive and get many more pucks towards the goal if we want to have a shot in game 6.

That's the truth of it.

JT Miller has looked like somebody who has no business being in playoff games.

They won game 4 by generating rebounds..sooo what should they maybe do more of with the season on the line?

I really think if Bishop made 3 good saves all night that is a lot...I really do. And none of those saves were really good saves. That might have been the easiest SO in playoff history.

ZERO traffic. ZERO rebounds. And not a lot of shots or tough shots. That's the truth.

Miller has 0 goals... Do the 3 other teams have guys playing in their top line who are scoreless? .... Nope

The biggest key is that this game gave Bishop a lot of confidence back.

I thought Miller was fine. He is what he is at this point as a guy playing in his 1st real playoffs. Where has Brass been? Step play tonight? MSL back to business (I saw that coming)? Kreider? Hayes (what has he done in these playoffs outside of an OT goal against Pitt)? Does Hags have a goal since the Pitt series?

So the list is long tonight of guys who didn't show on O.

You aren't going to beat Bishop side to side, especially with their slow puck movement.

No idea what Glass was doing on the 1st goal...that was awful and turned out to be HUGE. What a waste of a play. And BTW...since game 1 Staal has been terrible in this series.

The whole offense just doesn't have it... Idk what it is.. Nobody is consistent. Hopefully Hank can get a shutout in Tampa

The failure of guys on this team to consistently show up is why they always have their backs against the wall. If I had to put numbers on it I think the chances of them winning game six is 25%.

The way to beat Bishop and get pucks on him and make him deal with people around his crease. The more pucks you get on a guy like him the better chance he F's up. I mean we had no one near him tonight...crazy.

Goes to show you which team wants it more. To win a cup you have to be willing to get cut and bruised. I just don't see that willingness with this group.

Has Hags scored a goal since the Pens series? Hayes and Miller are young in their 1st playoffs (this is Miller's 1st real playoff experience), so I won't kill them, but they haven't added enough.

Nash was back on the outside tonight. Hope he goes the other way in game 6.

I would say 33% chance. Figure 1/3 shot we win game 6. We can do it, but TB is darn good at home, we'll need to play well and get everything at Bishop.

Somebody mentioned the intelligence of this team. I offer this as a good example. How many times have we seen a Ranger player in the offensive done take the puck from behind the net, skate right by the net and then make sure the puck gets out to the blue line?

It's Kucherov, Palat, and Johnsons first real playoffs too and look what they're doing. At this time of the year and with 4 teams left Miller and Hayes don't get a pass they need to be better

I can see both of your points. Why I would agree with the Chuck is that too many veterans on this team have played with their heads up their ass.

Guys, stop analyzing this shit. There is going to be a game 7 as always with this group.
