Jones is right BTW...would be nice for the Rangers to really show some crazy passion. If they do they will win game 6 no doubt in my mind. They go in with that killer instinct they will win. We are better than the Flyers, no doubt in my mind...NONE. Just need to play hard when up in the series and they will take a two game lead in a series for the 1st time in forever...LOL.
 
Couldn't agree more Mess. Don't see how anyone can argue it. Doesn't mean we win for sure, but we are the better team. We have proven that. If we play hard like it is a must win for us in game 6, I think we can win it.

BTW...the Dom Moore signing has been very good. I really liked that move this summer. He has paid off for sure.
 
Hate to be a broken record when it comes to Nash but he seriously has his head up his ass. Seems to want nothing to do with a physical series.
 
Which is why he struggles in the playoffs. He is big and going to get banged around a lot in the playoffs. If he shies away he won't produce, and that is what has happened.

Simply put he needs to make an all out commitment to be aggressive and physical in the playoffs, and understand every single shift is huge, and he just doesn't do it.
 
Three keys for game 6:

1. We MUST play like it is win or we are done. Have to play with that passion of a win or done game.
2. Stay out of the box. Playing with fire. Need to stop with the post whistle stupid BS penalties.
3. Faceoffs. We must do better. On the road the way we were dominated on faceoffs today will kill us. Must do better there.
 
Staal is a + 6 in this series. He has been great. Our best dman for my money.

And I like Miller in. That is my fav lineup with Kreider out. Miller in the top 9.

And lastly, paging Hags. Maybe he will show up for game 6. Really hasn't done a thing in this series.

Just that he has been doing skating drills. I'm not sure we see him again this season even if the Rangers had a long post season.
 
I bet there's an outside chance he could play in a 2nd round series, and I would think 50/50 at least by the ECF.

Ranger history.....nothing comes easy. Even '94 SC.. CS went 7 games.
Only the Rangers can make a 3-0 lead whittle down because of hockey
stupidity.....responding to Philly BS.

I'd like to see Justin St.Pierre make that same call at Montreal against the
Canadiens vs NY Rangers. Those fans would stone him. He should be banned
from future playoff games. Besides it would never happen...you just cannot
take the French out of a Canadian.

And last but very least....Rick Nash...a playoff wuss. Nuff said.
 
The quick whistle was a complete disgrace. Especially when the ref was clearly out of position to correctly call anything in close. I'm forgetting past history because if we were told game six would be an elimination game for the Flyers we would be very happy.
 
Exactly Mess. We ALL would have signed on for a 3-2 lead heading into game 6. All we can ask for. Now take care of business. And if we do get by the Flyers I think the 2nd round will be a little easier for us.
 
That was an extremely quick whistle, at least take an extra second to see where things stand. The first 5 min will be key since they will come out all fired up. If they can withstand that and maybe even get ahead the floodgates could open.
 
Yeah, that was a joke whistle. What can you do. We won so it didn't hurt us.
 
Could turn into game 7 at the Caps last season IF we withstand the first 5 minutes or so, and can score first.
 
Philadelphia will come out swinging (Physically) on Tuesday, so the Rangers better have their smart hats on. No stupid retaliation penalties, let the Flyer's knock themselves out in game 6.
 
Huge key jam. We have been taking too many stupid retaliation penalties the past few games, and it has to stop. Let it go guys and just win the game. No need to prove some point by taking a stupid penalty. That is exactly what they want. They are the team that needs game 6 or they are done, so let them take the stupid desperate penalties.
 
Would really serve us well to win game 6. Back to back for game 7 coming off an L is not a place we want to be. A lot of pressure on us in that situation.
 
I don't want to see another game 7. I wouldn't have said this early in the year, but this team is just plain better than the Flyer's. Does that mean they win? It should ...
 
I agree we are better jam, and I think we have shown that, but it doesn't mean much if we don't win. While I think we would win a game 7 at MSG, who wants to deal with that quick back to back, where anything can happen. A bad bounce, a hot game by Mason, a big game by one of their talented forwards and we are done. Want no part of that to be honest.

I expect the BJ's/Pens series to go 7, so let's get an extra day of rest also by finishing in 6.

i am confident we will win this game but i am not as confident as i would like to be, lets just say i will agree to disaggree....
 
We still in a deep hole pasta? Or is up 3-2 not as deep of a hole as tied 2-2 with home ice...:).
