after the OKC game, Portland's defensive rating improved from 117.1 to 116.5. So, they are almost back to where they were at the all-star break before they played a bunch of bottom feeders and go worse on defense

so, 116.5. If they've truly turned around their defense, they should lose much ground over the next two games when they play the 4th and 1st ranked offenses

Mo and Enes made some shots but CJ was 8 for 19 for 17 points, below his average, so it seems the Thunder could guard him just fine. Dame won this game nearly by himself. Giving any credit to Stotts for that game is just ludicrous, I still remember the look on his face when Dame hit that game-winner, the look of someone whose ass got saved again by the best Blazers in history.

They won that series in 5 games. I’m sure if they lost it in 5 you would be willing to blame Stotts. Why doesn’t he deserve any credit?
And no CJ was a problem for them to handle as well. He just missed a few he usually makes. He isn’t missing those this year so far.
