The talent is similar. The fit of the Jazz players is far superior.Compare those staring lineups. Should the Jazz really be that much better than the Blazers?
Call me a homer, but I'll take the Blazers +48The Jazz are about to do to us what we just did to the Thunder.
I guess it's always easier for some to be pessimistic. I suppose that way they are never disappointed.
I know it's not cool quoting yourself but hey I got a little of what I was asking for... so maybe we've got a better shot at this one.At this point in the season if the Jazz just take the L against Phoenix in what technically is a battle against the two best teams in the league, that will tell you everything you need to know about Utah. It will show absolutely no competitive drive.
I actually think they'll play that game like it's the playoffs and it's on prime time ESPN. The league would be furious with them if they tried some load management shit. So I'm just hoping that the Suns and Jazz show that they're evenly matched and end up playing a couple of overtimes and then they have to travel home late. It would make this game winnable.
How can you vote NO? They have 38 wins but hopefully not 39 against us.

TERRY STOTTS --- QUIN SNYDER
OFFICIAL JAZZ'S GAME NOTES
OFFICIAL BLAZERS' GAME NOTES

Kanter is number one for put backs on O rebounds in the league. He'll play. Melo will play. Simons may be the guy Terry has to question.I feel like our best chance to win against good teams with Stotts would be to have two of Dame/CJ/Powell on the court at all times, surrounded by three defenders...so any three of Nurk, Jones, Roco, Powell, RHJ, Nas, and maybe Giles (eventually Collins.) No more Kanter, no more Melo, no more Simons, and definitely no more lineups with two of them at the same time.
Idk why I’m posting that idea here, but who cares.
Lots of things to take from that but bottom line Stotts is right. He and the team need to do more to get their All Star better looks and give him a chance to win games.“I know he gets frustrated by not having clean looks and being double-teamed, and people taking the ball out of his hands,” Stotts said. “Because of that, Norman had a very good night. CJ had a very good night. But my biggest concern is that it’s very frustrating for Dame. Even though the team is scoring, he wants to be involved, and it’s up to me to help him get quality shots, and it’s up to the team to help him when teams are doing that.”
Powell said the Blazers can use him or McCollum to bring the ball up more often to allow Lillard to run off screens to get open for shots.
“I can make plays off the bounce for myself and other guys, when the defense collapses and kick it out, finding guys,” Powell said.
I agree with this 100%.....
Like I said before, just watch Curry play off the ball when double team and find a way to get open shots. Draymond was their point forward. Have Dame play off the ball and let’s see what happens“I know he gets frustrated by not having clean looks and being double-teamed, and people taking the ball out of his hands,” Stotts said. “Because of that, Norman had a very good night. You should take the spread, then. Utah -6.money down the drain. more likely to get blown out by 20+
"According to Powell, Lillard called out the team in the second quarter for not being physical enough and allowing the Clippers to take advantage of them. His words led to the Blazers making the game closer before halftime. Powell added that it shouldn’t take the star player to motivate the team to play better."
I'm sorry, i love you Dame and you are my favourite player, but you are not in the Position to call out teammates for their effort on Defense, when you are a major liability on Defense as well. Lazy effort, give up on any pick, jogging on defensive possession, shit closeouts on 3s, i could go on and on. Effort was a completely joke. And i wonder if Dame actually knows how to play with a offensive lineup, the amount it takes for Powell to get his touches is insane
I knew Powell would come in and be vocal in a good way. Also, that he will demand the ball himself throughout the game.Seems like Powell has more of a clue than the head coach.
man im already too invested in blazer games mentally. don't want to get financially into it too. i feel like these losses stick with me more than they do the playersYou should take the spread, then. Utah -6.
We should be the fresher team, but altitude is an issue. Shorten rotations.
Powell might be what I was talking about before. No star want to come here, because what is Blazers openly talk about is "culture". Other stars are here for championship and they go to the teams that talk about championship. It is simple as that. Powell must be well disappointed with this team attitude. If Lillard talks openly about how championship is not most important thing in his life, how he can expect his teammates to play hard. For what?
This experiment seems to go to the Titanic end and piano still playing dance music.
For me, Lillard and CJ are really great bb players, but with this attitude they can play for Harlem Globetrotters as well.
That sounds pretty hard, but it's the hard reality.Powell might be what I was talking about before. No star want to come here, because what is Blazers openly talk about is "culture".
