Really? Lowry is arguably better than Lillard. Derozan is better than Cj. Valanciunas is better than our whole front line combined. Plus their role players are slightly better than ours with the exception of Ross over Crabbe.
Yet the game was really close despite Toronto hitting some ridiculous shots. What does that say?

HARKLESS!!! What do I win?

Toronto also has a lot more experience and familiarity with each other.
I'm not just talking about this season. For the past several years I've viewed our teams as being counterparts - pretenders in their respective conferences.

True north and true north lite

So you're saying that the veteran team that's 2nd in the east that's been together for years is better than the young, up and coming team that has been together only half a season?

No duh.

Oh, because nobody has ever used hyperbole on here. Not once.
If you do, and basically state Stotts is mentally incapable..expect to get a response..I have a high respect for him as a basketball mind and coach...y'know Bones...I came in after seeing the Ducks win in Eugene and was thrilled to see we were within 5 in the 4th and one of the first posts I read was that one of yours...I thought it was an uncalled for statement and still do. Most of the time I enjoy your take on the team but I didn't like the post at all...you call Stotts an idiot and I'm calling your post ill thought out negativity...ignore me if you need to but I stand by my response. Game threads have been great over the last year...if I sat next to someone at a game saying that stuff....I'd probably move seats

Forgot to in the first place. Lillard is still better than Lowry though. That's the one where you were wrong

He acts as if he's mentally incapable of changing pick n roll coverage based on the opponent. Am I wrong?

yes...you are wrong and knowing Stotts, he's addressing it this morning at practice and having guys watch film...he's a teacher, not a player missing an assignment

He had one game on the post two years where he changed pick n roll coverage (OKC, and it won us the game). I think we would've won last night had we hedged on Lowry and Derozen

you should send your resume to Neil Oshley...there's a counter scheme to every scheme...Stotts is not a conventional coach, he's an innovator and if you listen to his post game interviews...he's not confused about outcomes at all. I credit the Raptors for beating us rather than poor coaching losing the game..if you leave your feet and block a shot, you're a genius...if you miss the block and the guy blows by you and scores..it's a poor decision..listen to Dame's post game interview about the lack of team defense in the first qtr...Stotts adjusted and we made a game out of what could easily been a blowout loss.

You totally ignored the fact that, based on the type of players Derozen and Lowry are (Much like Durant/Westbrook in terms of attacking), hedging would be the best option, instead of letting Derozen turn the corner and have his way with our sagging big.

Even if we hedged, I'm not sure that's the difference in the game. It's an option...you say it's the best and that's something I'd consider but what I won't consider is that Stotts is mentally incapable which is where I sort of draw the line...I'd love to see Stotts respond to your critique

I'd love to ask him why we kept going over the screen on Beno Udrih in the playoffs last year. To take away his below average 3 point shot? And then why did we sag the big letting him shoot his favorite shot, the mid range jumper?

because at that point..CJ wasn't Wes and Nic and Rolo forgot to play basketball

You do need to realize, if you're gonna say lowry > Lillard, that Lowry is just as streaky as Lillard. You keep ignoring that fact... the same fact you trash lillard with.

What? That is the worst answer ever. If he gave that answer then we should fire him on the spot haha.

If Lowry and Lillard were swapped he'd be talking about how great Lillard would be while calling Lowry "feast or famine".

well, in a way it did get Rolo and Nic fired (or if you get literal about it...let Rolo walk and traded Nic) I get that you don't value Stotts or his contributions to the team, so if that's the argument...we're not ever going to agree about this

I dont mind the criticism, but one should not gloat about one player that has the same "weakness" as the one they are talking down to.
