I'm in Disneyworld right now, so I won't be able to enjoy this game. I'll be here in spirit

Is it just me or does it look like the Lakers bench should be starting and vice versa? Maybe thats part of their "plan"

I was thinking almost the exact same thing: "The Lakers' bench players are much more recognizable than their starters." Jordan Clarkson? Didn't he win American Idol?

Ditto to the Ditto.

Starters are a bunch of unknowns and no names.

Tank! Tank! Tank! Tank!

Will CJ go for 30?

Tune in to find out. :)

Let Batum sit out this game. He can get 10-days off in a row to rest his wrist.

I still can't believe we lost a game to them last year. God that was painful. Do not let that happen again.

I don't want to win this game. I want to DESTROY them for many reasons. I hate the L*kers, which is a moral imperative, but I also want the Blazers to make a statement about how they are going to approach the rest of the season. Killer instinct is what I want to see. Send the few remaining K*be butt-boys that haven't jumped on the Clipper ship out of the Moda Center with their tails between their legs.

yeah..Homer, I know what you are feeling..I realize that this is not that big of a game..but my dislike of the flakers over rides reason.

Who would ever imagine the Lakers are 14-38? I remember the days when they cast their shadow over us.

A blowout win is long overdue..hope to see Barton, Crabbe, TRob and Claver playing big minutes in the 4th building on a 30 pt lead!

I don't even know who three of their five starters are.

If there weren't names under their pictures I wouldn't know a single one. As it is, the only name I recognize is Sacre, and I don't even know why I recognize his name - probably heard one of the Mikes say it during a game at some point.

Probably just because MickZagger was hyping him years ago. Being a former Gonzaga player and all.

P.S. I am mostly kidding Mick. He was the one Zag you didn't care for but the joke was too good to pass up.

How many Laker fans will make the effort to go to the game to root for this sorry collection of unknowns in Lakers uniforms?

I know Sacre and I remember Ellington from the last game at home. Other than that.....???????

It was nice to see less Laker fans at that game than normal, but this season I am starting to notice a smattering of Kobe jerseys at various home games. WTF?

I can't believe that's a real nba team, much less the LA Fackin' Fakerz.

F'ING joke.

I absolutely hate games like this. This is the epitome of a trap game. The Blazers are coming off a big win and trying to coast into the All-Star break. The Lakers played and lost last night in Los Angeles against the Nuggets. Just the fact that Portland has not played since Sunday has me thinking they need to make sure they are not on break already. Believe it or not the Blazers need this game as far as standings go. Houston won last night and are currently a full game ahead of the Blazers. This is a home game they can and should win. Anything less would be miserable to deal with for the next 9 days. The thing here is that it is both teams last game before the break and so who knows?

As far as the Lakers go? They can score points.... And they??? Not much else. They are not a defensive team and of course that has been a huge problem. No protection in the paint and they don't cover the 3 well. Their record has "Tank" written all over it but Byron Scott just doesn't like doing that.

I expect to see the Blazers play this game doing only what they have to do to win. As has been their way. I don't like it but maybe they can surprise me? Can they come out and blow this team away early and ride the bench the rest of the way? Or will they play down to the Lakers and have to win this game in the 4th? Just win baby might be the rally cry for this game.

When you look at the Lakers bench you have a bunch of guys many have not heard of and their bench is filled with names like Boozer, Lin, Young and Johnson. This has you wondering if Scott is not only trying to win still but trying to develop some guys in the mean time. Again if you give these guys hope they will try to outscore you and then they always have a puncher's chance to win.

Meyers and CJ could have big games tonight with lots of time on the court if things are going Portland's way. There is some question as to the availability of Chris Kaman tonight. Word is he has a sprained ankle so he is out? Maybe they could just sit Nic Batum also?

Like i said this is not a team the Blazers should lose to. In the end Portland is deeper and are playing rested. If this comes down to the fourth quarter the Blazers should be able to find that extra gear and put this team away. I just hope it does not come to that. I want a boring easy win against the Purple and Gold!

Go Blazers!

kjironman is a fan!!!

I hope someone shows up in a dolphin suit and sits behind the Lakers' bench tonight. Or instead of the noise clappers behind the baskets, they should have dolphin heads people can wave around when Swaggy P shoots free throws.

Great idea. But I totally believe Swaggy P and his near-death dolphin experience. I mean, Brian Williams was right there riding the dolphin right behind him and he confirms it.

First off..nice post, wish I could rep it.

I watched LA lay last night..they looked ok..took control of the game and yeah, they can shoot. But with that said, they were playing the nug, kind of like watching two mentally challenged children fight..just an ugly game. You have the right of it, if we play down to their level it will not be an enj
