My attempt at sarcasm was weak. I agree. Stats are a tool but that is all. We manipulate things with tools to create the objects we want. It's not at all different with analytics.

When dealing with a small sample size, the variables matter. As the sample size increases to 1/4 of the season the variables even out

How can we call this a win? They were MyLe-less, which I have been led to understand on this forum is the lynchpin of the Heat franchise. It's like beating the L*kers without LeBron and AD.

Only tuned in when the score was 99-93 but I think what sealed the win is Dame standing his ground on defense to stop the Heat in one of their final possesions.
If Dame can take it to the next level defensively he'd be a legit MVP candidate and we'd be real contenders. Need to give up some of his pride (and I think what's holding him back is his insecurity, being afraid to fail) and let our good defending guards give him tips and guide him to improve.
If we turned Enes Kanter into a defender and made even Meyers Leonard respectable I have no doubt Dame's room for improvement could be huge and it could be huge for our chances as a team

Windstorm knocked out power from just after 4PM to 12:36 AM. I did check final score but no TV and needed to preserve cell phone battery.

Fed Lucia by flashlight, but she didn't get her saucer of milk until power back on.

We are OK. And Blazers won.

I think Dame has pick defense since the first of the year the one hasn't had been CJ. Melo is not good running people off the 3 point line. He leaves to much space.

The forwards still struggle with when and who to switch with. Several times a game they leave shooters wide open at the three point line because both forwards go with the cutter.
