As I've said many times before. No other organization in hockey takes super high draft picks and gives them basically no pp time and gives them role player ice time. Only the dumbass Rangers. BTW....some guy named Kreider just passed Mark Messier on the all time Rangers goal scoring list...i guess Boston University only gets credit for him developing into a pretty decent hockey player.

I 100% agree when Laf and Kakko were drafted the coaching left something to be desired and their development was somewhat retarded but I 100% disagree that Laf and Kakko are victims. They have been given every opportunity to succeed, the organization's attitude towards youth development the last 5 years has been 180 degrees opposite. Top draft picks have been given immediate NHL ice time instead of languishing in the AHL for a few years until one of the Rangers overpaid over the hill marquis signings finally retired and opened up a spot on the roster. Even obvious busts like Lias Andersson were given NHL experience.

Since GG has taken over the Rangers have won at a higher rate than Keenan's brief tenure, top players have had career seasons, the PP has gone from a joke to a legitimate threat while the road PK is tops in the league. Last night the Rangers scored 4 or more goals for the 7th straight game - hasn't been done by a Rangers team in 32 years. The 3 #1 picks are all on pace to shatter their previous scoring records and they have become a legitimate scoring threat every time their line hits the ice with the same 15 minutes of ice time. GG takes the team to a 2-0 lead to get to the Cup and they finally wear out so Drury make moves to make the team better in the off season and then pulls off a lopsided Tarasenko trade that nobody saw coming with a huge solid #6 dman - brilliant! Once again they are poised to make the playoffs yet we should focus on the past Rangers futility winning the Cup. No thanks - Let's Go Rangers! - the past is the past and unchangeable but we can root for the future. GG also gives great postgame pressers - very honest.

Typically high draft picks go to teams that are shitty and are YEARS away from being good so the young guys can get NHL time while having zero pressure to win and since their team is typically out of the playoff race early, a lot of teams won’t play their hardest against them, thereby allowing those young guys to look better and improve quicker. Look at the Debbies now. Games are being played that matter and they are getting hurt because their opponents see them as a real threat and are neutralizing them as such. Dump has never played nor coached a sport so I don’t ever take anything he says serious. He’s that fat, pimply faced mouth breather living in his moms basement, playing NHL on his gaming system with it set to rookie mode thinking that’s reality.

Let's examine your dumbass post in more detail. For starters, you flat out said that proper player development should depend on the state of the team. If the team is good player development should be different. Do you even have a clue how fucking stupid that comment is? The fact you hint that you have coached is alarming. I would never let any of my children have you as a coach. You basically said if I have a talented, young player I don't give a shit about developing he or she if my team won't win as much while they are learning. Not even considering the big picture that the team will be much better when they are developed. You are last type of tool that should ever coach. Second, as much as I hate the Devils, everything you said about them was horseshit and was a bitter lie. After their long winning streak and then losing 8 out of 9, they are 20-5-2. They lost Hughes for four games. Otherwise, they have been completely healthy. In case your pea brain can't think rationally which it is clear it can't. The Devils have 2 of the top 5 defenseman prospects in the world who are almost NHL ready. That means dummy that they are going to get a lot better soon. They will have a young, dynamic core that won't drop dead in the third round of the playoffs like our vets did last year. Which was the reason the kid line was our best line vs. Tampa. If they had been developed properly and had their games on a higher level, the Rangers might have beaten Tampa. Third, reading your post I figured one of three things happened to you. A, you got laid off and are pissed. B, you caught your wife banging somebody else and are getting divorced and are pissed. C, you lost somebody in your family or that was a friend and are pissed. Either way, leave your personal shit off the board. Spirited hockey talk with some name calling is one thing. If you are going to come at me, you better do your research. Not one other team in hockey has developed their young players like the Rangers have developed Lafreniere and Kakko. There is a reason for that. I'll tell ya 31 and a few others here, where we are morons. We actually wasted our time on Al and 94, two individuals who think player development should depend on the state of the team. We are dumber for making the effort. Winning games is second in pro sports. Especially in NY. Winning a championship is always the first priority. Sometimes you need to take a step back or two in order to develop young players that give you a much better chance to win a championship down the line. The Rangers got dumbass lucky last year. I've said it several times. Crosby was killing the Rangers in that first round. If he doesn't get hurt with the Pens up 2-0 in game 5, IMO, no chance in hell the Rangers win that game or the series. He wasn't the same when came back and it still took the Rangers until game 7, OT to win that series. However, because they beat the Canes in 7 after that, we have fans that think the coach and organization did the right thing with Lafreniere and Kakko. Complete horseshit. Simple as that. When you have simple minded fans like we do in our fan base, they lack the ability look at the big picture. The next step for Zibanejad is decline. The next step for Panarin is decline. The next step for Kreider is decline. The next step for Trochek is decline. None of those players will ever get better than they are right now. Lafreniere, Kakko and Chytil have a ton more room to get better. If they don't, a team that IMO would have been out of the playoffs in 5 games last year if not for a lucky, fluke injury to Crosby, will do jack shit in the playoffs in a conference that has several young teams that are developing young, dynamic cores that are getting better and better.

Since the 2011-2012 season, the Rangers have been overall a very good organization. We have made numerous long playoff runs. Without winning a Cup is that great or perfect, hell no, but do not dismiss the many fun nights we have had watching this team the past 11 years or so. Again to be clear, it is not amazing or epic without a Cup win, but it is good run and a lot of great moments. The SC is the most difficult trophy to win in sports for a reason. That is why I also believe you are not a Rangers fan, you get no joy from any of it, only care about the kids, and knock everything. That cannot be real.
