Idk why they don't start Layman, is he not physical enough or rebound well? He would stretch the opposing 4 out, very athletic and a really good shooter. I think Leonard and Collins are decent. I know the 6-7 games I've watched of the Blazers this year, the small forwards have been terrible every game.

Presumably, Stotts values Harkless and Aminu's defense in the starting lineup more than Layman's offense. Surprisingly, the advanced stats actually back up this thought process.

Time to turn the page and focus on the next opponent. Unfortunately, our next opponent is the red-hot Thunder, who has won 3 straight games and 9 of their last 10. And they've owned us this season thus far. And they get the homecourt advantage. And the Blazers have to play back-to-back. Oooh, I can't wait!

I still don’t quite understand why Layman’s uptick in minutes is coming at the expense of Aminu and not Harkless. Aminu is shooting 50% from the field and over 40% from outside the past five games, yet his minutes are almost equal to Moe’s.

This is the problem I was talking about when there are 11 guys the coach is trying to play.

Shortening the rotation shouldn’t be this difficult. Take Curry out. Don’t need three ball handlers on the second unit. Then alternate two of Moe, Meyers, and Zach depending on the matchup. There’s your nine man rotation

I'm not expecting much here. The Thunder are a better team, and they're at home. We have nobody who can stop George, nor do we have a coach who can figure out how to do so.
