One of the recent Cronin quotes that stood out to me was when he said he hasn’t ever seen a coach empower his players more than Billups. No doubt that’s playing a part in all this. Crazy how far a little bit of belief/trust can go.

Was at the vet with my dog and then completely forgot about the game. Checked ESPN a half hour ago and WTF HAPPENED?
 
Winslow is a perfect fit. He’s known to be a good locker room guy too. Dunno if we can depend on him to stay healthy but when he’s out there he’s a difference maker. Great pairing with Nurk too, their playmaking create a lot of good looks.

No doubt about it. I thought Ben would be a good fit too. But I will take Winslow (and his attitude) for 30 million less per year and use that money on another player (or players)

He gives Ant the perfect outlet. Ant can focus on getting open after he passes to Winslow.
 
It is bit sad, but it looks like all those well spoken vets just didn't respect Billups.
Even RoCo and Powell had their DNA changed by you know who;) in a short time.

I am both excited and afraid of Lillard coming back to this team.
It would be nice to see in the play offs if he can play in this system.

I think it’s an underrated part about coaching in nba. It’s a lot easier to coach younger players. Vets are usually set in their ways. Probably why there’s so much coaching turnover in the league. I think we’ll see full buy in from Dame though. He’s a billups type mentally. He’ll be better without CJ. There’s also a part of me that believes Dame sacrificed defensively because playing through his injury mixed with his offensive responsibility was just too much to handle. So a healthy Dame might surprise on the defensive end.
