''We didn't have great rhythm tonight, didn't play well. I think that's across the board. Didn't coach well, didn't play well,'' Nets coach Kenny Atkinson said. ''It was just one of those games where I think Portland was simply the better team. There's just no way around it.'' Source: MSN Sports

Kanter was fun to watch on offense. Defensively, I saw him get into rebounding position as soon as someone was attacking the rim instead of even putting a hand up to contest the shot. Let’s hope that Nurk will quickly rub off on him when it comes to protecting the rim.
He knows he's not playing for the blazers next year. He wants his rebound numbers up.

Looks like trust is something that Harkless needs. Instead of cuting him, Stotts played him in s5 and Moe feels good when he feels he play a role in team win. I still belive in him. Looks like all he needs to contribute is selfconfidence and strong will to play ball. Trust him and he will reward you. (I didnt like 1/5for 3 dou).
I heard Moe is still hurt. He probably looked good because he got to rest

See this is what drives me crazy about Moe once in a while he plays a decent game and people go into, oh see it pays off to keep playing him. He’s gonna have to give you more than one or two good games a month for it to pay off... I hope he strings some together but he’s one inconsistent basketball player, I could live with that if it was just scoring, but when its everything, including how much he actually tries, thats a problem.

I agree with you but whose minutes do you cut tonight? Aminu , Jake or Harkless?
Aminu and Hark both played well.

Aminu and Hark did both play well.....but how often has that happened this season? To look it up didn't take long. Only 5 times all season have they both scored in double figures in the same game. I'm not exactly holding my breath counting on that to become a regularity.

As for whose minutes I'd cut? Turner shouldn't be seeing the floor right now. Now that puts some pressure on Curry to be a facilitator more than he has been and Jake has to make a few plays as well.

Better than being like Chad Doing and constantly tweeting about how "pathetic" and "worthless" he is.

I agree about Hark and Aminu, I am just talking about last night. ET only got 8 minutes and Terry played Jake at SG for some minutes. I don't think that is a good option for Jake. Going forward though I do want to see a Jake, Kanter, Collins, Hood lineup off the bench. (With either ET or Curry-I doubt Terry will completely eliminate ET from the rotation)

I don't think he's worthless, I think he's just a role player that seems to inexplicably have a starting job no matter how he plays. I don't know why it frustrates me as much as it does. I hope he puts together another stretch at the end of this year that he did last year, if he does that then I'll be fine! heh.

Aminu hit his shots (different from playing well), but he still didn't deserve 30 minutes. Cut him down to a max of 20mpg.

Didnt say you did...

I'm super excited that Kanter had such a great game but Zach Collins and Meyers Leonard with a DNP-Coach's decision worries me. We can't afford to waste any tool in our arsenal, need to find a place for them all
Fuck their feelings

He did have 10 boards and zero turnovers, so last night I think he did deserve the 30 minutes. But on most nights I am ok if he gets less. I think it just comes down to who Terry feels is helping the most that particular game. The problem for me is that IMO Zach plays best at center and with Kanter there Collins is pretty much regulated to PF. I don't really like him out on the perimeter so it will depends on the match-ups.

One thing I found myself thinking last night was "how much better would the Lakers be with Russel rather than Ball?" LOL - stupid fucking Lakers!

I was thinking that as well before the game, but when he ended up 4-16 (2-9 from 3's) he reminded me exactly of Ball. (His +/- was - 30 last night)

You probably have no clue who BenDavis is do you?
He was a young chump of a kid who seemed to think he knew EVERYTHING better than everybody else. Hadn’t really experienced much in life, so it baffles many on here to why he would treat people the way he did. He’d attack any poster who’s opinion differed than his. He was an expert on every topic and nobody else knew what he knew. I actually think he still lived at home as well. Funny when you really think about it. Kept it up until he was finally banned. Crazy huh. The FAMS thread was his final straw...... the nail in his coffin.

He was the son-in-law of Rowdy Roddy Piper...you couldn't really expect him to be a quiet and gentle spirit!

Don't get me wrong - I wasn't praising Russel by any means! But he would fit next to LBJ much better than Ball, and is just flat out a better (albeit still middling) player.

it was in the top 10 plays earlier but here is the Nurkic dunk. I'm assuming the Net's broadcast? The reaction of Portland's bench is pretty funny, especially the reaction of the other 7 footers:

Speaking of Top 10 plays, I personally liked Jake's block the most - him pointing into the stands afterwards was legendary!
