Im reading “Kersey” and Ramsey didn’t plan on playing him much but he couldn’t be denied, he earned more minutes even though he wasn’t a good shooter. What he brought was energy and super athleticism. We have few players like that now, JWin and Hart. Kersey was good on the break and so are a few blazers now. Ball movement and allowing more than one person to push the ball which can put defenders on their heels.
The nice blend of youngsters and vets that are willing to-stay in front if their guy makes a difference.
Even CJE brings energy and a knack for being a disrupter, a floor pirate.

And, as pointed out by Lamar Hurd during the Milwaukee game, teams that go after and get a lot of offensive rebounds, like Memphis, will think twice about committing as much to that if they know they can get burned if they don't immediately get back on defense. The Grizzlies had 18 offensive rebounds against New Orleans. It'll be interesting to see how many they get against Portland, seeing how we run more now, and still have the Bosnian Beast inside.

At this time, unless this is the start of a very possible 11 game losing streak, I just want us to make the playoffs so we can convey the pick to the Bulls and have all of our future picks free for us to trade. Without a huge losing streak, right fucking now, I don't think we'll get a pick that will matter as much as being able to trade future firsts would. If on March 9th we've lost seven straight I'll start being conflicted about the tank again but until then I really just wins, for that pick to convey to Chicago and for the Pelicans pick to be as high as possible up to the fifth.

Also we get to watch this team play basketball the right way and that's really fun.

No they’re not. Top of East is really competitive. 5 game win streak wouldn’t get them close.

We're like the poor person's Grizzlies, so this should be a good test/wake-up call.

Oh I don't forget for one second that we're not able to enjoy Dame. I also don't forget that we haven't had a chance to see how everything looks with two ball dominant guards who are weak defenders starting together.

That is my biggest concern. Ant has looked very good as the lead guard, but didn't look nearly as good playing next to CJ. Dame is more of a lead guard than CJ was, so how is that going to work with Ant? And while he may be trying to improve, working on it, getting better, he is not a good defender yet, and Dame never has been.

It seems like we've been down this, smallish, ball dominant, poor defender road before.

The latest news is that he will warm up and see how his ankle feels but could still sit. I don't really care about us losing as much as I'd like to gauge our recent success against a team as good as the Grizz with everyone playing.

We’re playing great and having fun. That’s all that matters to me. What is there to gauge? Playoffs are in 2 months. In April, no one will care if we beat Memphis with or without Ja.

I was told by someone that every win matters. So wouldn't and shouldn't we care that we beat the grizzlies? ;)
 
The Grizzlies will figure an easy win at home, after having complete control over the Pelicans in New Orleans.

Hoping for a real exciting game tonight, hope both teams Bring It!!!
 
It's wild given how our seasons have gone that we're 2-1 against Memphis.

Also, we have brought the hustle again here early.
