If the screw the pooch the next couple games without Fox, Drury will empty the ship.

Igor has a chance to keep them in the game but what does this asshole do allows a goal on the first pp. 11.5 my ass for this moron.

Hey, fuck face it wasn’t just Shesterkin’s fault you dumbass. Stop blaming him for every fucking goal. You’ve gotten to the point where you think Shesterkin needs a shut out every fucking game for you to be happy so shut the fuck up you stupid motherfucker we’re getting fucking tired of your stupid shit

WE? no-one wants you on this board. lol You're the least likable poster who nobody cares if you die tomorrow

I had to put that stupid motherfucker on ignore. He’s like a walking vagina when it comes to Shesterkin. All he does is complain.

Lol put me on ignore little baby. Like I said if you die tomorrow, nobody on this board will care.

The go ahead goal is 100% on Shesterkin. Having said that this is once again more on the offense not able to generate much with a massive shot advantage. The power play failures killing them.

11.5 million goalie got outplayed by 6m goalie. Like we really needed to sign this bum to a long term 11.5 m per year contract. Dumbest shit ever.

Other teams better players simply come up bigger than the Rangers better players much of the time now, that's pretty much the jist of it. Can't come up empty on the pp this time of year, Fox or no Fox.

As most of us have been saying for weeks, SELL. Smith, Lindgren, Kreider, Vesey, others. 3 more games until the trade DL, Preds/Isles/Caps, you have to figure if the Rangers lose 2 of 3 that will push Drury in the sell direction, which quite frankly is where he should be right now regardless of the next 3 games.

Imagine if Drury can move Kreider and retain no cap hit, that would be another $6.5M to work with this offseason. The Rangers would be flush with cap space to build around Miller, Trocheck, Cuylle, and Othmann for starters.

SELL!!!

Yup, it’s just not happening this season. Better to try and set themselves up to bounce back next season.

Bouncing back happens in the NHL, where a season gets away from a team, and they comeback better the following season.

I really hope Drury gets it and understands first this team is not making a playoff run this season; second what he should have done last summer, breaking up the old stale core, he knows needs to be done at the trade DL/during the summer. Not superficial cosmetic moves, but big dynamic changing moves.

This is a test for him, let's see if he passes it after many failures until the Trouba and Miller trades.

The Rangers totally outplayed Toronto tonight except at goaltender. Igor givith and Igor taketh away, Lav didn't help matters with his ridiculous time distribution and another too many men penalty during a PP no less. I liked the shooting mentality, every player except Rempe and Vesey registered a SOG.. Despite all the doom and gloom still 4 points out with 23 games left

Lav needs to go. Rempe who had a big game last game barely got 4 minutes. Othmann who was red hot coming up here barely got 6 minutes?? I’m tired of this fucking vet hugging POS coach. He needs to go sooner rather than later. Also loved the useless 5 forward PP! WTF! The rangers outplayed them completely and should have won. Igor with a brain fart giving the puck away behind the net was the goat tonight

Firing the coach isn’t going to change anything. They did that with Gallant. Bunch of lazy fat cat players that need to be broken up. Yes, Rempe does often times add something but a team like Toronto would turn him inside out and skate around him like a cone on the ice.

To me these are two separate things. The Rangers being within shouting of making the playoffs as a WC is VERY VERY different than the Rangers being a legit threat to make a run in the playoffs, let alone win a SC. No one would say the Rangers are mathematically eliminated, or they have no shot to make the playoffs, last I checked that wasn't the goal though.

I hate to say it, it's also why I want the Rangers to lose the 3 remaining games before the trade DL, to avoid giving Drury any delusion this team has a legit shot and should be buyers. If they lose even 2 of the 3 their odds of making the playoffs are very low considering how many teams are bunched up for two spots, and they would be at least 6 points out I'd say if they lose at least 2 of 3.

Totally agree, and again to me these are two very different things.

Lav has not been perfect, and I admit I don't always love his lines and how he distributes minutes/gives kids a chance to play important roles. With that said, anyone who thinks the coach is at/near the top of the list of reasons why this team is not good, I think it looking for the easy lazy excuse. Been there, done that with the coach as you stated.

The terrible in over his head Pres/GM and the old stale core of lazy fat cat players are miles ahead of Lav on the list of those responsible for this mess.

I will also say, if they did fire Lav though I would not flip out, as when a team plays this poorly the coach does have some responsibility of course. My only comment though is if Lav goes, Drury better be right next to him on the way out the door. And NONE of it will matter unless the Rangers make some major core changing moves, which Drury should have done this past summer.

My gut says both Lav and Drury are back though, especially Drury unfortunately. My gut also says, Drury is not the guy to have the balls or creativity to make the major core changes moves needed, which is also unfortunate.

100% Mel, it's been one of my biggest gripes with Lav. 11 shifts for Othmann, 6:30 ice time 3 shots 2 hits while Panarin, Mika and Trocheck get 25 minutes. JT gets a little under 20. The Rangers did what they needed to do to win, outshot Toronto 2-1 and won faceoffs at a 2-1 margin but a few unfortunate plays by Igor cost them the game. The area I noticed Toronto players circling around Rempe was in front of their crease since they couldn't move him but as Mel pointed out, only 4 minutes of ice time for Matt while Alex's Fatderieire cruised the ice avoiding threats and shooting wide. What a disappointment, 25 points off last year's total , a -18 and now his lazy, unmotivated ass is dragging down his linemates scoring, hopefully Drury can move him before the deadline.
