Back in the day, If I could enjoy an NBA game in the seats, I had choices. The NJ Nets, Knicks and Sixers all were in driving /train distance. I saw Dr. J many times. They played Utah with Thurl Bailey, Eaton, Stockton, Malone….. It seemed like the physicality was the benchmark.
Great times to be an NBA fan. I remember going to Portland games in Philly back in the late 80's (for the Clyde crew)-Upright pinwheel on my Starter jacket. People were AOK.

I was also a huge sixers fan growing up as it was before the Blazers were in existence. Loved the rivalries between Boston and Philly and I was a huge Hal Greer fan along with Chet the jet Walker, Wilt, Billy Cunningham etc.

You sir are TWICE my age. My Sixers were Dr. J, Moses, Cheeks, Andrew Toney.....man I loved those guys!

They’re missing Embiid, who in my opinion is by far there best player. Still a winnable game.

While in the navy I was stationed in Philly for a huge chunk of the ‘72/‘73 season. The Spectrum was literally right outside the front gate.The Sixers went 9-72 that season. Funny shit. My God did they suck.
