It is astounding how we are 10 games behind that team. I just don't get it. Not one damn shooter.

Late-game situations have determined our fate this year. We've literally thrown away 8-10 games this year just in the final possessions. When you don't posses a lot of all-around talent and lack a defensive prowess, it's amazing how thin your margin for error is.

Great to see Nurk looking great in all facets of the game. Dude is going to be such a monster for us and frankly he already is. That's a solid building block down low.

With that said, that was a prime opportunity to gain footing in the lottery AND have OKC catch Memphis so that pushes up that pick as well. Do I like rooting for losses? Fuck no. But we have a legitimate shot at landing a Top 3 pick (if we finish Top 8) in a loaded draft class. If we throw that chance out the window for a few meaningless wins in March ... that would be the most Blazers thing possible.

Nurk had huge game but really made his impact in the 4th. Dame also had huge game for us. But what almost cost us when Stotts should call time out to take it at half court instead throwing the ball away. Little things from coaching decision and players decision has made us loose these type of games this year. But it was a great win for us.

I figure if they're going to really tank for a pick, they do it by faking minor injuries to core players ...that's the blue print usually...Dame has a sore toe..questionable..etc...why risk an injury to a valuable franchise player if you plan to lose?

Fix Ed...hell they could conceivably fix Festus...having Nurk, Ed, Festus,Leonard and Vonleh is not a big problem

I cant wait to see what this team can do once we figure out trimming the fat of Crabbe, Turner, Meyers etc

if we can trade some combo of that and aminu if neeeded to get a legit PF this team could really do something good.

Oh and give me a break with this Russ is a one man show and has no help theory. He's got two awesome big men. Kanter is one of the better low post scorers in the NBA. Adams is probably top 5 defensively. Gibson is a great addition. Oladipo is solid on both ends. Roberson is a lock down defender. Abrines is a great shooter. Etc etc. They may only have one superstar, but he's complimented well. Presti is legit.

Russ also leads the league in uncontested rebounds... as a guard. Meaning he makes it a point to pad his stats and go grab all those boards that are meant for the bigs, and his teammates aide him in that. It's too bad 20 years from now people will look back at his stats from this year and compare him to the Big O and Wilt. He's a hell of a player but a terrible teammate.
