i dont like building bad habits. josh hart looks so annoyed with all this.

in other words, over the last 12-18 games Ant is getting a taste of what Dame has faced, just about every night, for the last 7 seasons.

when Dame comes back (hopefully not till next season), either Dame or Ant will get single-coverage by the weaker defender. It will probably be Ant meaning he'll get the chance to draft off Dame like CJ had for those same 7 seasons
?

this active roster has 2 definitive NBA players.

dame has never played on a team this bad and he played with Luke Babbitt and Sasha Pavlovic his rookie year.

Watford might screw around and get a triple-double one of these nights.

I wasn't talking about teammates. I was talking about opposing defenses selling out to stop Dame. And that Ant is getting a taste of that

Blazers Uprise Postgame Show
Suns 120, Blazers 90
Portland gets blown out for the 3rd consecutive game and it looks like wins will be hard to come by the rest of the year. Come join us and talk some hoops!

I don’t think Dame has even faced a box-and-1 in his NBA career.

I don’t think this is building bad habits. Building bad habits is what Dame and CJ did on the defensive end for years. This is just young guys playing that are lacking high talent and experience facing superior talent and experience.

This is one of the most blatant tanks of all time. Every season, there are pro-tankers here. Well, then this your dream.
We won't win any games with this squad. The Rockets took Utah into overtime before losing and the OKC Thunder beat the Nuggets in Denver by 12 points. The Rockets are the worst team on the Blazer schedule.

If we can pull off not winning another game then we'll end up with the fifth spot in lotto odds, which actually has a great chance at a top 4 pick.

I just want that pick from the Pels as well. I still think they will have to win two play in games because I don't see them closing the 6 game gap they still have with the Clippers and I also don't see them beating both the Lakers or possibly Spurs and then the Clippers or possibly the Wolves. So I'm really hoping we end up with our pick in the top 4 and their pick somewhere 9 through 11.
The Blazers could end up with the 4th spot. Portland loses all the rest of their games and if Oklahoma City wins five more games Oklahoma City would have the same number of wins as Portland and win the tiebreaker.
Luckily for Portland we play OKC twice more this season. We have already lost twice to them.

What happened to Ant after 11 straight points. Did Chauncey told him not to shoot anymore?

Williams looks like a nice little find. No way he’s 6’2 though lol

Keon struggled with his shot but Portland outscored Phoenix with him on the court. Gotta remember he’s a rookie, hasn’t played in a month, and is on a new team. And he’s three years younger than Ant.

Elijah and CJ both look rough tbh. If Hughes can’t knock down shots his value is limited. At least CJ can do some other stuff. Neither look like they should be on an active NBA roster though. I’m more sure of it with CJ than Hughes, just because Hughes is new. At best I’d give one of them a two way, but at this point I’d take a swing with a second rounder at someone else for the active roster.

Watford has really improved his FT shooting. In the first half of the season he was below 70%, just like in college. In the last eleven games he is above 80%. He also knocked down multiple threes tonight. That’s intriguing because he does everything else pretty well, especially for a power forward. If Watford and Brown keep progressing, I think I’d be ok with Winslow as the starting four.

No, he missed a couple of floaters after that but the Suns were not about letting him get off tonight.

sure he has. Keep in mind that the NBA box-n-1 defense has been so stretched because of the 3 point line and corner three's that the box takes up the entire floor. It's a change of pace defense now that teams will drop into for two or three possessions than retreat from. It's a 'junk' defense

Dame has faced that defense before. In his case, teams will add a hard blitz at every screen and pick
