Conley or allen, it doesn't matter, Lillard is very good but he's not elite, he's a 40% fg shooter in the Playoffs, and he get's lost under pressure By good defenders all the time, we saw it many Times in the past. The way he has been playing and shooting since two months or so worries me, when was the Last time he had a high scoring Game?

Not elite? He was first team All NBA last year and will be second team this year. Do you think these things about Dame after wins or just losses. Dame is having a great year. 2nd best PG in the NBA.

NO ONE has seriously posted that anything less than 82-0 means the coach sucks. What I have seen is VERY SPECIFIC examples of why some posters believe he sucks....examples that have played themselves out over and over and over.

There have been adjustments to be made in so many losses that were easy adjustments to make that Stotts refuses to make. Sometimes they win, sometimes they lose, but the lack of adjustment still sucks....and that is on Stotts.

Exactly. We can lose EIGHT more times and still win 50. Can people handle 8 losses without bashing the team and coach?

No one ever praises him after wins. Hardly ever. It’s all about what he doesn’t do in losses and crickets when he wins.

Yes....but then executing against Stotts rigid defensive scheme is not difficult.

Your right that why I give Memphis credit for taking what Stotts defense gave them and they score on it. Don't get me wrong I ate this defense they play and that's on Stotts. Players like Conley thrive against this defense Paul is another thrives against this D.

fair enough but Rodney Hood earned his touches and Enes did as well...it's part of getting them into the groove in my view more than ignoring Jake...feed the hot hand...can't argue with the results so far

It's more than that. Jake has been scouted a bit more now and teams are not going to leave him open and they most certainly are not giving him the easy cuts to the rim any longer.

I touted how well the played in the loss to the Raptors but did have an issue with how they guarded one of the best players in the NBA on the last possession. If another player single-handedly carries his team to a win with a career high and not a single adjustment is made in the scheme the entire game.....I'm going to bash away.

It wasn't, but 9/29 from the 3 and our bench being outscored by almost two times the amount of points is not going to win us many games. Especially playoff games.

Can't blame 20 turnovers on the refs either.

it sucks when you lose to shit teams, but it happens in every league. The Best team in the NBA record wise lost to the second worst team in the NBA the other night. It stings as fuck especially because were in dogfight for both a playoff birth and to obtain the best seed we can. But it happens. these guys have to move on and focus on the task ahead. I believe in Dame and crew

opposing teams have a simple game plan against Portland in the playoffs: sell out their defense to shut down Lillard. That strategy works not because Dame is a bad player or a choker...it works because Dame doesn't have a teammate like Lebron or Durant or Paul George or Chris Paul or James Harden or Kawhi or Tim Duncan. Dame doesn't have any teammate who can carry the team and force defensive adjustments away from Dame.

if a team shuts down Dame, they take away Portland's best scorer AND the guy who runs the offense. It's a great 2 for 1. Nothing has changed. Portland has more depth but depth doesn't win a playoff series. What wins is a team having a couple of guys who together, are nearly impossible to stop. Portland doesn't have that

When are you going to understand that it's not okay to just win 50 games. We had an opportunity to gain a game up on getting the 3rd seed. We can't take that next level being content losing 32 games.

When are you going to understand that it's not okay to just win 50 games. We had an opportunity to gain a game up on getting the 3rd seed. We can't take that next level being content losing 32 games.

We were third seed with 33 losses last year.

In addition to firing Stotts, we need to fire Olshey too. The reason we don't have another player like that falls on him. How many whiffs in the draft? How many FAs passed up?
