I ask myself the SAME thing when a 2, used to be 3, certain posters (ironically who liked your post) say the same thing about me. Claiming that because I work for the team I should do things a certain way. Or because of who I work for, I treated a certain way.
I’m actually curious what all these self proclaimed experts actually do for a living. It would be interesting to know.
I love getting to know people on here personally and would also like to know what others do for a living.

However, I don't think it's right to put down someone's posts because they live with their parents or don't have a great job. So it needs to come from a good place.

Example A of why HJ is a good dude!

Dame:
“That’s easy for somebody who doesn’t have to go out there and play to say,” Lillard said. “First of all, we’ve been out on the road for about three weeks (counting the all-star break), traveling city to city and playing tough teams, and then we came here to play an NBA team. We didn’t come here to play the Washington Generals. They’ve got good players. I think that’s more disrespectful to them than anything.

“(Fans) don’t understand it. They don’t have to do what we do. I don’t expect anything else – for somebody to say, ‘Oh, we lost. We crashed.’ I don’t think we crashed. We lost. They played well.”

We don't blame you Dame. This is squarely on Stotts shoulders, he's driving, he crashed the car. Should have utilized his fresh utility players Collins especially and focused on Defense instead of letting Conley torch us for the 5 millionth time!

One of the best things Pop does is ride his bench hard all season long demanding they're just as good as the first unit and playing the right way (solid ball movement and tough nosed defense). Becomes crucial when your first unit is gassed during a road trip or deep in the playoffs when you need to add a wrinkle or substitute for an injury.

For the record, I own a retail store in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area. We'll have been open for 7 years in May. Things are going pretty well other than the amount of time I have to put into it takes a toll on the family. Recently there was someone interested in purchasing it so I had the business valuated and it is worth a decent chunk of change but I'm not ready to give up being my own boss quite yet even though the thought of having a more normal life and schedule does have some appeal.

I work as a Software Engineer for a robotics company, not as cool as owning my own business though.

Also HJ that's pretty awesome, I'll be visiting your store soon because all my kids have birthday's coming up.

Yeah that's what I'm pursuing. Theres something about working my ass off to make someone else a fortune that I hate. Itd have to be something that I absolutely love to do. Not the easiest mindset going forward but it's also motivating.

In 5 years from now, I hope I can show everyone who's told me "Get a real job" or sent that type of negativity my way why they were wrong.

I believe its 1, because I havent given you shit in a year or two over your job, and when I gave you shit, it wasnt as serious as you made it out to be.

I agree with this more than you could ever imagine. Different places in your life does not mean anything more than that. I have had a bunch more time to create what i have than others. And some have been more creative than i about how they have lived. I try to look at someone for where they are going and from where they have come from. Not really where they might be at the time.

Great post except the Blazer bench has a guy named Turner.....

Who doesnt have to play.
Honest question, do you think NO has told Stotts to play ET?
I know there are those who say ET plays because he gets paid so much. I'm not sure I'm fully on board there, but it would sure look bad if ET was relegated to a bench warmer.

I have a few business ideas that I want to try when my kids are a bit older, but being a small business owner is pretty stressful too, hope you can get the TrueBF channel and your other ventures going.

Not sure if it's true or not but Stotts has always maintained that he doesn't really get involved in personnel decisions and Olshey never tells him how to coach or who to play.

Yeah, I've always heard that. I guess I don't have any "evidence" otherwise. Sometimes though it seems like they're trying really, really hard to make ET work. I'm not sure if they would do that for a guy on a minimum contract, but who knows.

No, NO doesnt control the lineup. Just look at him getting rid of Ed so Terry had to play Zach.

So when the Blazers crushed SA a while back , its was POP's crashing the car and not allowing his bench to offset what the Blazers had going?

I think the mindset should always be that we could have done a few things better and won that game.

I'm only an expert in my spare time.

What kind of shop? You should plug your business here. Might as well make some money off these people.

Totally agree. I remember starting a thread over on BBF back in the day asking what people did to try and get to know guys. That thing got yanked right off the boards. They told me I wasn't allowed to ask people that kinda' stuff. I've had real, hard, minimum wage paying jobs. I've served in the military as well.
Just was always curious why a few on here continually bring up what I do and how that has anything to do with this joint. I've always thought, what you do for a living does NOT define you in a good or bad way. In a 4 year span I went from washing cars on a car lot for $4.75 and hour to traveling on Blazer-One. Oh well.

That said, if you live in your mom's basement, that is fair game for me to use.

The Blazers should not have lost this MEM game! In the 4th Q the Blazers were looking tired and 0 of 6 swish3s, in spite of the fresh legs and record Playoff shooting Meyers left on the bench. Blazer coaches need to pay attention to who can score swish3s in the 4th Q and this game, future late challenges, and the Playoff games can be wins. The NBA Championship is still possible if the Blazers can optimize the use of talent and better assess signs of tired legs to avoid late game losses.
More Meyers, less kanter and nurkic and their damn inside scoring.

I've heard 3 theories on this.
A) Stotts is too stubborn to change his rotation when it isn't working.
B) Olshey is demanding Turner play.
C) Olshey doesn't have to demand Turner play, he just built a roster that leaves Stotts no choice.

What I haven't heard, is an explanation that doesn't make the Blazer brain trust look bad. I'll let Team Terry and Team Neil fight it out.
