Remember when these two teams met early in the season, and Memphis actually had a better record? A lot can happen in 3 months.

This game closes the longest road trip of the season for the Blazers and it will be against the only Western Conference team on this trip, the new-look Grizzlies. The only Memphis mainstay here is Conley, and he has been a Blazers-killer over his career.

But fret not, Blazers with Kanter have been undefeated (5-0). And since this game will not be played in Vancouver, B.C., Enes will be able to play.

I know this game may not be easy, as the Blazers are probably exhausted and mentally-drained, but it would be so sweet to finish 6-1 on this long roadie.

Don't know if I've ever said this in the past 4 years, but...pour forwards are the real advantage in the starting lineup for this game.

Conley and Bradley are (at least reputation-wise) one of the best defensive guard duos in the league. And JV is right there with Nurk as one of the more underrated centers around. I think we need to go to Chief and Moe early and often in this game.

Our bench should in theory be the difference in the game to me.

Will Kanter finally get a positive plus/minus?
The problem with Kanter he has no clue on defense he has be one of the worst defender I ever seen playing the middle on a team. But he decent on offense and decent rebounder. Would I try find away to resign him probably not. Now Hood is different story trying to find away to get him a contract next year.

I agree with this for the most part. Kanter on transition D is an absolute joke. There were two plays in the last game that had me shaking my head.

Yesterday, when Hood started off bad as usual, I said: "When will this guy not suck?" Then he went off.

I hope your comment is followed by the same kind of performance.

CJ about to drop another 30+ points against the Grizzlies

Just saw the Blazers are reporting 0 injuries, which means ET will be back tomorrow.

Not sure I want either one trying another 3 pt shot though.

God no.
Supposedly they can make them but they are low percentage shots. If the best you can do on a possession is a 20% chance of making a 3, you are f'd. Myers seems ok some games. Turner? I think I saw him make one in a game.

I hope the Blazers take these games seriously. Memphis almost beat OKC in OKC and NOP just beat Utah. Some of these teams with no way to make the playoffs may seem like easy wins against tanking teams, but the players are definitely not playing to tank and now that there is nothing to play for they can play carefree and win some games they shouldn't win.

Spoiler teams. Trap games for sure.

Not to mention last game on a long road trip. It is games like this that can get a little scary. I have faith in our guys to handle business, but it won't be easy.
