Exactly. He isn't held accountable enough for his defense. He isn't challenged to provide maximum effort on that end. He doesn't get subbed out early when he's slacking on defense.

Then he gets a guy who almost swings on him and all of a sudden he plays lockdown defense.

How many minutes do you want to take away from him and who do you want to give them to?
