Well the Thunder won, and WB plays for them...Not to me. PG won and we had basically no prayer once Nurk was ejected.
Your beliefs are wrong and you should feel bad for believing them.I understand, but I think we're playing fine. We need to tune up some things, but I believe we're capable of beating anybody.
Your beliefs are wrong and you should feel bad for believing them.
People who hold wrong beliefs usually do!I feel great!

Majority of you guys get so angry during the game it seems. You ever just sit back and enjoy, or is it always critique mode. Just curious.

I'm sure they're constantly evaluated, I'm more interested in how they are held accountable (i.e PUNISHED!)

Love your sense of humor!Part of the enjoyment is the X’s and O’s at least for me. I enjoy thinking about defensive schemes especially, how Id guard a play, how Id try to stop certain players. In terms of if I was coaching anyways.Majority of you guys get so angry during the game it seems. You ever just sit back and enjoy, or is it always critique mode. Just curious.
To be fair to CJ, the role players couldnt find a source of light while sitting on the sun last night...How good/poor has Enes Kanter been? He had 2 good games so far. Same for Rodney.
Can Stott get consistency from the Bench?
Can Stott redistribute CJ shots to Nurk and some bench guys?
How can CJ have ZERO assists in the most important game of the season?
To be fair to CJ, the role players couldnt find a source of light while sitting on the sun last night...
I mean Kanter and Aminu couldnt even catch the ball a few times. Yes he could have though.Shouldn't the coach run better plays instead of having them spot up for threes?
CJ has proven he can dish assists when he wants to.
They have the best record in the WestYes we did....but they are not playing at near the level they did the last two years. Still a good win though,
I don’t know record but we’ve shown we can compete in tough situations against the best. We’ve won overtime games at Golden State and in Utah. At one point, we won three straight overtime games. What is the Blazers record in close games this year? It might just be recent memory but it feels like they are losing a lot of close games.
Would you prefer we get blown out when we lose? That would protect our record in close games. Or would you prefer we don’t lose at all?A lot...they don't win many games like that
Dame was giving up the ball late in game. To Hood, to Aminu, to Kanter.Nurk took 8 shots. CJ took 24.
Why? No one besides Dame and CJ and double digit shot attempts....in an overtime game.
This is an overt failure of the coaching staff, and has been for the longest time. Dame and CJ are too stubborn in tough games to give up the ball. And sure, Dame actually shot really well tonight, but we know there are nights where his shot is not falling. Sometimes it's CJ who is making shots and Dame taking a backseat but at the end of the day these two guards dominate the ball and the coaching staff gives them the freedom to do whatever they want.
It's like Stotts thinks imposing the slightest bit of discipline on his team is going to make them rebel against his coaching. At this point I've given up that he's going to change. 6 years of this is enough to convince me that we will live and die by his coaching philosophy. Unironically, if we had Harden I believe we may actually have a shot at the finals. Not that I would ever give up Dame for Harden.
Paul George misses games in that streak and why does them losing recently mean they’re going to play badly against us. Obviously, they were going to play their best to get back on track on National TV.That argument would be more impressive if the Thunder hadn't come into the game on a 2-6 streak. A team at home against a team playing poorly should not need excuses. I expected the loss, but that doesn't justify it.
We beat them twice this season and twice last season. Did those teams do that? Did ANY team do that?so did Dallas, San Antonio, Detroit, Miami, and Orlando....big fucking deal
Had a triple double when Dame sat. He can pass but his role is different when Dame plays.Really, when CJ is not scoring, what does he contribute? Passing? 0 assists. Defense? Terrible defender.
CJ McCollum is simply Jamal Crawford. Not someone you want to be your 2nd best player.
His role doesn't mean he's not supposed to make the right pass though.Had a triple double when Dame sat. He can pass but his role is different when Dame plays.
Nobody is saying that King. Simply that the way we play in close games is cause for concern.Would you prefer we get blown out when we lose? That would protect our record in close games. Or would you prefer we don’t lose at all?
Really hard to get a shot up. Dame/CJ scored 76 points. If that happens in playoffs, we’ll win more than we lose.I honestly feel like that was the game of the year for them...
Between that and losing to Memphis. They probably lost out on any chance of HCA.
It was funny to me that Kenny Smith and Barkley were talking about them going to the Finals because the shots are so much easier for Dame and CJ, it looked like the same team out there to me. Dame and CJ having to work really hard just to get a shot up.
You mean we can play well in close losses?Nobody is saying that King. Simply that the way we play in close games is cause for concern.
We were down 7 in 4th last night and rallied to force OT.The bottom line is how well will Stotts do facing the same team night after night i.e. the playoffs? Can he adapt? I just don't see it happening. There is a mental block in place. Seen recently in the failure to double Leonard in Toronto (another playoff like atmosphere game), making Conley look like an MVP in Memphis, and last nites complete lack of offense, AND this teams' historic inability (its one of this team's most quoted stats ) to comeback late in games tells me we are fawked in the playoffs.
Huh? I'm talking about the way we play under 5 minutes in close games. Our offense gets very basic and is literally top pick n roll every time down the court, which is usually shut down because defenses see it coming, so then we resort to iso-ball. Nurkic isn't involved, and the ball doesn't move at all. Sometimes it works because Dame or C.J. hit very tough shot, but it's not conducive to consistent success, especially in the postseason. You mean we can play well in close losses?
Down 7 with like 10 minutes left.We were down 7 in 4th last night and rallied to force OT.
