Fuck the damn Sea chickens, go Nyieners.

And no fuck your generalizations some Blazer fans hate the stupid Oregon Ducks too.

Um. Ok. I'm a fan of the Blazers, Niners, and Beavers. I'm not from Portland or Eugene.

I haven't looked at the box yet. What did they shoot from the line?
they were 30 of 39..we were 19 of 23 but following the game it just seemed everytime we scored we immediately fouled them..some without free throws as well

Seemed like Dame and CJ were missing mid range they usually make all night and a number of drives. Plus Davis and Plumlee just didn't hit the put backs.

They both missed some shots early that they've been hitting all year, and Plumlee and Davis both dropped passes under the basket that they could have dunked/laid in in the first half. We just weren't up to GS's level of intensity in the first half at all, and by the second half we were in fuck it mode. Not surprising seeing as GS were so butthurt over the ramming we gave to them earlier.

I've said it over and over but Meyers will make 2 mistakes a game that are head shakers, then play decent or even good ball but you'll always remember the mistakes because he can't hide them. TRob could hide some mistakes and look tough...Meyers just looks like somebody pulled his shorts down when he blows it.

Probably an image i don't want to have lodged in my mind but yes i agree.

Meyers makes 2 good plays per game then leaves me scratching my head or pounding it against the wall for the rest of it.

nah..not anymore..my son played pickup hoops with his cousins in Taipei against guys from all over the pacific and told me everybody was wearing Warriors gear and he's the biggest name over there...same with my New Zealand cousins..Lakers are old news

Yeah I forgot they were Heat fans for a few years. Lakers->Heat->Warriors-> whats next?

I don't think Meyers was terrible tonight, but it wasn't one of his better games.
Tbh, I don't think a Blazer/Warrior game is the right pace for him, he's behind all the time.
He needs to match up with someone that reacts just as slowly to look good and that isn't going to happen when these two teams play. Hair looked good though.

He sets better picks than Plumlee or Aminu or Harkless and certainly Vonleh. They need him to get guys open.

Personally i just don't see why all the Meyers hate? The guy played a good game tonight. Perfect? No. But he played a solid game and at the end he was in there with a number of guys that never play directing everything that was happening.
He also showed glimpses of what he needs to work on. This guy passes the ball better than most bigs in the game and he hits shots from all over the court. The Hatred is just crazy?

I agree the hate is a little overboard, he definitely did more than fan favorite easy Ed tonight. But man, when he gets the ball down low, he's like:

It's his 4th year and he's over 7 feet tall. If he still doesn't know how to post up a guard, that's a problem. And that's something that needed to be worked on 3 years ago.

I watched at least 4 awesome passes Meyers put in perfect spots including an inbound pass that very few people could do.
Yeah he does a few things really well. Deployed strategically he could be potent. But other teams can disarm him with a few changes.

The fouls are a major problem. Crabbe and Meyers are the worst. Plumlee and Vonleh aren't good with fouls either. I think CJ has the most underrated D on the team.

I imagine a world where the Lakers never win another championship..... where Jack goes home early from the Forum every game..... where they have the lowest jersey sales of any pro club. It is truly a world worth fighting for!

LOL

Smaller defenders perplex LaMarcus too.

3 years ago he had exactly 1 year of College ball and absolutely no idea what he was getting into. Now he is challenging NBA level talent and directing the entire offense for the last 8 mins of the game. I say he has got a handle on what is going on.

It seemed like the Detroit game was tailor made for him. Plumlee was struggling with the big Drummond. The Pistons were packing the paint and leaving our bigs outside. That was his most disappointing game of the year because he could've made a real difference. We were losing tonight regardless. Meyers is fine as that third string option but he's not an every game player.

I'd like to see more of Aminu at PF down the road but the problem is we don't have other good SF options.

I think the reason Meyers is frustrating is he's so physically gifted and you see so much potential. Then he goes through stretches where your like--WTF. You just want him to do good. But hopefully one day..... he just kind of puts it together. Now if he wants to get PAID before that happens.... that's another story.

Picture me. It's long ago. I'm 7 years old, playing in some peewee basketball league with my dad as coach. I get a rebound under the basket. Nobody's in position to block me. So I go back up and shoot a lay-in.

Sorry but I don't buy your excuses. The man is a professional, 24 year old athlete. Figure. It. Out. It's not rocket science.

Yeah as much as I can be pissed at other teams around the league who are currently winning I'll always hate the Lakers the most. I want them to lose every season and lose their draft picks and have free agents wined, dined, but never sign. Lets hear Magic criticize the coach and the Buss kids fight for control of the team. Kobe can get a fancy statue out front but bitch about what they're doing wrong now. Fuck the Lakers. I'll be happy to see them fail every year.

There's a reason Olshey has targeted PFs in free agency..he'll keep fishing until he gets one. We in the era of young project bigs but Vonleh has lower body strength and length going for him

Exactly. He can be our Matt Bonner. People forget the hell of a run Bonner had at times for the Spurs.

This year was about figuring out which core pieces fit with Lillard long term. CJ is clearly that core key piece. Leonard isn't. Could Leonard have value if we keep him in a lesser role? Possibly. But our first priority needs to be finding key starting pieces with DameCJ. If Meyers has a contract that limits those options; adios.

Do you really want me to break down a game and count his bad plays against his good plays?

He also thinks we won the game.

When a player is in his 4th season and people are still making excuses for him - that says it all. Meyers is what he is, and what he is, is a grade D NBA player.

Well everyone should want to get paid. Its not about what Meyers wants; its what he proves on the court and what GM's offer.

He may not ever really acquire that skill. The ability to be a decent rebounder n the NBA level may not be in him. It's like that at every sport. Some guys can't hit a curveball. Some soccer players don't have the ability to dribble with pace. Once you get past a certain age if you don't pick up basics, you never will.

Yep...It's not like Aldridge has ever been an elite rebounder either. Or shot blocker.
