After the big win against the Warriors and the Cavs coming up next, I hope the Blazers don't overlook this game.
Why would they? The team knows what's at stake. Miami is one of the best defenses in the league. Our coach and Dame are great leaders. If we lose, it's because Miami plays very well.

Offense ain't too bad either. At least tonight. They shot 59% from the field against the Wizards.

Wade said he most likely won't play Monday, and Whiteside might not be ready to go either

Interesting game tonight for them without Whiteside. They played fantastic. Maybe their best game of the year.

I don't think the Blazers will overlook them, but I am worried they may come out flat after halftime. Usually win streaks are broken at home late after having a lead. They lose their intensity and the other team gets hot.

I do hope Whiteside is out so Dame can attack the basket when things get close.

We got this one. This team has too much to prove to have a let down game. I actually think we'll have a 13 game win streak going into the Rockets game. Let's hope our guys just keep playing their game. Go Blazers!!!

This is a trap game. We need to be extremely careful Monday night. The Heat are wounded and smelling blood. They are in a dog fight in the East as well. We better bring our A Game.
Why wouldn't we bring our A game?

The way they are playing now, they shouldn't let down.....they are playing very well. But this current streak is not representative of the way they have played for the majority of the season. At some point, it doesn't seem unreasonable that they return to something closer to their norm.....unless suddenly they have just become this juggernaut that doesn't lose to anyone.

I'd love to think that but history tells me other wise.

I'd rather prefer to believe that this is our true form and the way we played earlier in the season is an aberration. Yeah I know it's' delusional but sue me....

Reports are Wade and Whiteside might be out for Portland game.

Just wow.

The light is shining on this team

Every time I hear "the light" now, I go straight to this.

Regardless of the injuries, MIA is still a dangerous team. They just destroyed WAS without Whiteside.

In general, they play a lot of close games. They started the year 22-11 in close games, but are only 2-8 in their last 10 close games (what the NBA officially calls clutch games, games withing 5 points with less than 5 minutes left).

So we're only good if we never lose again? But lose to Miami and we're just a mediocre team?

Clearly, teams are starting to realize that they're better off just letting guys rest against us since they know they're going to lose anyway. Makes sense--save your stars for games in which you have a chance.

Makes perfect sense

Surprisingly, we only have 10 streaks in our franchise history of at last 10 games.

Including this one, we have 7 streaks of 9 in a row.
